|| Jai Sriman Narayana ||
Oh! Krishna who is enemy of Kamsa was
instantly tied up with the worldly desires at the flash of thoughts about the
intense love and devotion of Radharani, immediately he abandoned the young
maidens of Vraja, he was besieged with the cupid arrows of Manmatha, it pierced
his heart like an arrow, he was tormented with intense sorrow of separation
from Radhika, further, he moved through the woods located on the river banks of
daughter of Kalinda/Yamuna/Kalindi in search of Radharani.
Radharani was annoyed to witness Krishna
in the middle of numerous young maidens of Vraja, she angrily left the place as
if Krishna had committed an offense, he was frightened to watch her leaving
heatedly and not in a position to stop her, Radharani left the scene with the intense pain of separation, what to do? What to say? At that moment Krishna
thoroughly felt that it is worthless to have the possession of wealth, or
people, or home in the absence of Radharani, he could envision her lovely face
filled in anger and the creeper like the curved eyebrows, he could envisage
her angry face that has the resemblance to red lotus flower surrounded by a pack
of buzzing honey bees, he could feel her eternal presence in his heart and
frequently experience the delight of their union, he felt it is meaningless to look for her in the woods and lament over her separation, she had
abruptly left the scene with excessive envy that made her heart heavy, he was
in a dilemma thinking of how to dispel her anger, he sorrowfully thought of their act of appearance and disappearance,
denials and embraces, Oh!
Sundari/beautiful one, kindly forgive me, I will not be rude to you again,
kindly appear before me, I am going through an excruciating pain of separation
afflicted by the cupid arrows of Manmatha.
The above are the glorious verses
composed by Sri Jayadeva are highly propitious and most excellent, like the
Rohini Ramana/Lord Moon originated from the ocean of Kindhubilva.
Oh! Manmatha, kindly don’t torture me
with the cupid arrows, kindly don’t mistake
me as Hara/Bhasmapriya, don’t mistake garlands of lotus flower as ornaments of
serpents, blue lily flower garlands on the neck as venomous poison, the highly rich scent of sandal paste from the Malaya mountain. Kindly don’t aim arrows of flowers of mango
trees on me, It is fairly wrong to punish me with the cupid arrows, when my
heart and mind is roused by a beautiful array of her glances and I am already
tormented with the cupid arrows of Manmatha. She is living Goddess whose arrows conquers
the world, her artfully curved eyebrows are
bow, her beautiful glances are arrows, he ear lobes are the storehouse
of arrows, her beautiful glances are similar to powerful arrows that cause
intense pain in the most vulnerable
spot, dark clouds like thick and curly
hair locks/braid of hair are cupid arrows of Manmatha, her luscious lips
resembles Bimba fruits lures my heart, gem-like high and large raised bosom
is supremely lovely for amorous sport, her joyful response to my touches,
resplendent movements of eyes with quivers, the fragrance from her lotus face,
sweet watercourse like her speech, the sweetness of nectar-like luscious lips, his mind was completely absorbed in it, he could experience the pain of separation and it augments the same, he stood in the middle of numerous
young maidens, with the sideways movement of
his neck and unsteady head singing in the midst of the young maidens,
Madhusoodhana secretly observed the sweet lustrous moon-like the face of
Radharani. Oh! Madhusoodhana kindly
bless us with your auspicious grace.
