Sri Rama Pratha:Smarana Panchakam – Lyrics and meanings

I shall meditate upon the lotus like face of Lord Rama/ Lord of Raghu, who has pleasing disposition and has beautiful smile on face, he have wide lustrous forehead, he is decked in marvelous earrings that keeps dangling and spreads intense luster in all directions, his beautiful long eyes are stretched upto ears, which is highly pleasing to our eyes.  I shall meditate upon lotus like hands of Lord Raghunatha, which is highly propitious, provides shelter and various boons to the people who are surrendered to him, wielded the glorious Maheshachapam/bow of Lord Shiva in the assembly of Kings and attained the hands of Goddess Seetha who symbolizes auspiciousness.  I shall meditate upon the lotus like feet of Lord Raghunatha, which carries various divine symbols of Vajrangusha as a mark of bestow pleasure, it dwells in the hearts of illustrious Yogis who follows strict austerities; it provided relief from the curse to the chaste wife of Sage Gauthama.  I shall recite the glorious names of Lord Raghunatha during the hours of dawn, which is highly propitious capable to removes the sins committed by words, it removes impurities, and it is highly rejoiced by the consort of Goddess Sri Parvathi, and thousands of sacred names of Hari is  most desirable to Lord Shiva.  I shall eulogize the glories of Lord Raghunatha which is equivalent to recitation of Veda, during the hours of dawn, he has the luster of Neelothpala and gleaming like precious blue gem, he is decked in various precious and pearl decorated ornaments, he is meditated by the Sages and Rishis, and he is the source of liberation to them.  Whoever reads or recites the glorious verses of Sri Rama Pratha: Smarana Panchakam during the hours of dawn on daily basis would attain the highest pieties such as obtain birth as one of the prominent servant/ Kingkara of Lord Rama and resides in the abode of Lord Hari for long time.
