Thousands of sacred names of Lord
Parashurama, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu was composed by Lord Rama while
returning from Milthila after the glorious wedding to Goddess Seetha, whoever
reads of listens or write these sacred hymns praising the glories of Lord
Parashurama would be benefitted with the merits of performance of thousands of Ashwamedha Yajna, worshiper
would be blessed with wealth, fame, valor, happiness, virtuous offspring and
eight kinds of Siddhis, worshiper who distribute the sacred hymns to a
Vaishnavite after worship of Lord Parashurama, will not face any kinds of
misfortune, poverty, loss of dearest people or clan, and the worshiper will
remain beloved of Lord Rudra and Lord Parashurama.
These thousands of glorious verse of Lord
Parashurama was narrated by Dhasharatha Rama to his relatives while returning
to Ayodhya with his father, mother, brothers and relatives, Rama who is an
incarnation of Lord Vishnu described the splendor of Bhargava Rama who is
personified for the annihilation of wicked Kshathriyas.
Sri Raghava speaks “whoever read or
listens to these sacred names and worship Lord Parashurama, would attain the
perpetual grace of Bhargava, worshiper would be relieved from worldly desires
and immerses in the meditation of Lord, ultimately born in the illustrious clan
of Madhava, worshiper would attain self – realization and remain Yogi with the
grace of Bhargava, he is supreme soul incarnated for the performance of
pastime, therefore I shall prostrate before Jamadhagnyam. His simple grimace would create terror in Lord
Bhrama and deities, I shall prostrate before Shakthi /Mahadevi Devi Renuka, who
is immersed in several years of severe penance.”

Sri Jamadhagnya Sahasranama Sthothram is
highly propitious hymns, it is composed by Sri Rama Rishi, presiding deity is
Jamadhagnya, it has Anushtup as Chandhas, it is recited to please Lord Rama/Avinashi
Rama/Bhargava Rama in order to attain Chathurvidha Purushartha/Dharma, Artha,
Kama and Moksha.
||Kara Nyasa: ||
I shall prostrate before Govindha and
offer salutation with the thumb finger, I shall prostrate before Mahidhara and
offer salutation with the fore finger, I shall prostrate before Rishikesha and
offer salutation with the middle finger, I shall prostrate before Thrivikrama
and offer salutation with the ring finger, I shall prostrate before Vishnu and
offer salutation with the little finger, I shall prostrate before Madhava and offer salutation with the palm and upper
part of the palm.
|| Hridhayadhinyasa: ||
I
shall prostrate before Govindha and assume his eternal presence in my heart, I
shall prostrate before Mahidhara and assume his eternal presence on my head, I
shall prostrate before Rishikesha and assume his eternal presence on my tuft, I
shall prostrate before Thrivikrama and
assume his eternal presence as protective shield, I shall prostrate
before Vishnu and assume his eternal presence on my three eyes, I shall
prostrate before Madhava and assume his eternal presence as Asthra/weapon, I shall
assume eternal presence of supreme Lord in all directions.

I shall prostrate before supreme Lord who
is personified as Bhrugunandhana/Parashurama, has the appearance of fruit of Jambhu, he
represents trinities/Bhrama, Vishnu and Shiva, he is decked in various precious
ornaments, he is attired in the skin of antelope, he is wielded in powerful bow
and arrows, Parashu, Abhyam, he has four hands, his powerful arms are decorated
in rudraksha, he is decked in Hemayajjopaveetham/golden sacred thread, he has
charming and smiling face resembles to lotus flower, he carries sacred grass on
his hand, he is divine personified for the annihilation of wicked Kshathriyas/rulers,
I shall meditate upon Lord Rama who has divine symbol of Srivathsa on his chest,
he practices strict austerities/Bhramacharin, dwells on the lotus flower like
hearts of worshiper, he is eulogized by Sanakadhis, he has the brilliance of
thousands of Adithya, he symbolizes severe penance, he is born in the illustrious clan of Bhrigu, he
has great appearance with attractive tuft, smeared in sacred ashes, and he has
great effulgence, he is embanked on the land of munjja grass as girdle, he is wielded on bow, he is decked in
string of Rudraksha on his hands, he carries Danda, he is the delight of Devi
Renuka, he is supreme ascetic in the clan of Bhrugu , he is personified for the
annihilation of wicked Kshathriyas, he is flawless, I shall prostrate before Jamadhagnyam, he has
visible as well as invisible forms, he is devoid of Gunas/Sathvik,Rajas and
Thamas, he is storehouse of virtues, he is absolute Bhramam who is the essence
of the Universe.
|| Sri Parashurama Dhvadhasha Namani ||
I shall meditate upon Hari who is wielded in powerful weapon Parashu, he is Rama and
Bhrugunandhana/Parashurama as well, he is Vishnu who is most valorous,
personified as marvelous Jamadhagnya, he dwells on the hills of Sahyadhri , he
is valant, conqueror of Kshathriyas, he is
Prithvipathi/consort of Goddess Bhoomi/Lord of the Earth, these are the twelve
sacred names of great Bhargavarama.
Whoever reads or listen to it during the hours of dawn, noon and dusk on
daily basis would remain unconquerable.
