I shall prostrate before supreme Lord Shiva along with Goddess Sri Parvathi, /Ardhanareeshvara, who are the Lord and Goddess of mountains and Universe, and  she  has attractive hair locks resembles to dark clouds, he have matted hair locks that has the appearance of copper which releases the strikes of lightning, I shall prostrate before supreme Lord Shiva along with Goddess Sri Parvathi, /Ardhanareeshvara, she is adorned in magnificent earrings that spreads extreme luster, he is decked in  Mahapannaga/King of serpents as marvelous ornaments, he is beloved of Goddess ShivA, she is bloved of Lord Shiva as well, I shall prostrate before supreme Lord Shiva along with Goddess Sri Parvathi, /Ardhanareeshvara, she is decorated in the garlands of fresh alluring flowers of Mandhara, he is decked in Kapalamala/garland made of skulls, she is attaired in majestic silk garments and he is Digambara who is attired in directions as clothes, I shall prostrate before supreme Lord Shiva along with Goddess Sri Parvathi, /Ardhanareeshvara, she is adorned in rich fragrant Kasthuri and vermilion, he is smeared in sacred ashes all over his body, her gorgeous features and his unnatural features would arouse admiration in worshiper, I shall prostrate before supreme Lord Shiva along with Goddess Sri Parvathi, /Ardhanareeshvara, her lotus feet are around surrounded by Hamsa/swan and pious devotees/ascetics, his lotus feet are decorated with the venous serpents, her lotus feet has the luster of moon, his lotus feet is surrounded by the distressed people, I shall prostrate before supreme Lord Shiva along with Goddess Sri Parvathi, /Ardhanareeshvara, she creates the Universe and its living beings with great enthusiasam, he destroys the Universe and its living beings with the performance of great cosmic dance at the end of Kalpa, she is perceivable and he has three eyes, I shall prostrate before supreme Lord Shiva along with Goddess Sri Parvathi, /Ardhanareeshvara, her eyes are resembles to fully blossomed blue lotus/Neelothpala, his lotus eyes are resembles to fully blossomed lotus flower, she is Jagajanani who is the mother of Universe and its living beings, he is Jagathpitha who is the father of Universe and its living beings, I shall prostrate before supreme Lord Shiva along with Goddess Sri Parvathi, /Ardhanareeshvara, she is all pervading/Anthar - amidst, Bahir –Outside, Oordhvam – Upright, Madhye – middle/ he is omnipresent in all directions/Puram –in front, Pashcha - backwards, she carries out the functions of Universe and its living beings and he absorbs them at the end of Yuga, whoever recites or  listens to the glorious verses of Sri Ardhanareeshvara Sthothram which was composed by Sage Upamanyu, worshiper would reside in the supreme abode of Lord Shiva.
