Sri Angaraka Sthothram – Sri Skandhapuranam – Lyrics and meanings

The highly propitious Angaraka Sthothra was composed by Rishi Viroopangirass, it has Agni as presiding deity, Gayathri as Chandhass, and it is recited to please Bhauma who is appeared from Earth.  Angaraka who is wielded in greatest weapon Shakthi, his eyes are crimson colored, he is the son of Dhara/Earth, he is youthful and highly auspicious, he is Bhauma who is originated from Earth, he has powerful limbs and attractive physical features, he is the provider of wealth in abundance to worshiper, he eradicates the three Rinas of humans known as Deva Rina/debt to deities, Rishi Rina/debt to Rishis and Pithru Rina/debt to ancestors, he eradicates severe illnesses, he has great effulgence resembles to lightning, he can be formidable to wicked, he fulfils all the desires of the worshiper, he provides abundance wealth to worshiper, he is Kuja who symbolizes wealth, he is fond of Samagana, he is attired in majestic silk clothes of crimson colored, his eyes are blood red in color, he has red complexioned, he constantly awakens the souls about their Karma/deeds, he is decked in garlands made of  flowers of crimson colored, he is adorned in magnificent earrings made of precious yellow metal, he is the leader of planets, whoever reads or listens to these sacred names of Bhauma/son of Goddess Earth, would be relieved from the Rinas, miseries and sorrows, sufferings of poverty, misfortune, etc.. Worshiper would be blessed with abundance of wealth, beautiful woman as wedded wife, and virtuous offspring, whoever worships Bhauma who symbolizes auspiciousness with various fresh alluring flowers would be relieved from all kinds of miseries caused by the changes in the planetary positions.
