Sage Yajjavalkya speaks “ Oh! Munishardhoola/lion among the Rishis, listen to me carefully, the auspicious armor of Lord Surya is highly propitious, it could provide good health and welfare to worshiper, Lord surya who has supreme effulgence, he is decked in magnificent crown and sparkling earrings, he releases thousands of brilliant rays, hence he is deserved to be eulogized, I shall earnestly pray to Bhaskara to protect my head, I shall earnestly pray to  Lord Surya who has extreme radiance/Amithadhyuthi to protect my forehead, I shall earnestly pray to Lord Surya who is Dhinamani/precious jewel that arises on daily basis to protect my eyes, I shall earnestly pray to Lord Surya who is  Vasareshvara/Lord of Time to protect my ears, I shall earnestly pray to  Gharmaghrini to protect my  senses/nose, I shall earnestly pray to Vedhavahana who is the essence of sacred Veda to protect my face, I shall earnestly pray to Manadha who is the provider honor and destroyer of excessive pride in  worshiper to protect my tongue, I shall earnestly pray to Suravandhitha who is worshiped by Suras to protect my throat, I shall earnestly pray to Prabhakara who is the source of light in the Universe to protect my back of shoulders, I shall earnestly pray to Janapriya who is beloved of living beings to protect my chest, I shall earnestly pray to Dhvadhashathman who has  twelve marvelous forms to protect my feet, I shall earnestly pray to Sakaleshvara who represents all the deities to protect all my limbs, whoever writes the above sacred hymns of  Suryarakshathmaka Sthothram in Bhurjapathram/leaves of Bhurja, would attain all kinds of supernatural powers, whoever reads or listen to it with utmost devotion and dedication after ablutions would  be relieved from all kinds of illnesses, worshiper would be blessed with  long life, happiness, and prosperity.”
