Sri Shadanana Ashtakam by Sage Agasthya – Lyrics and meanings

I shall prostrate before Shadanana whose lotus feet are worshiped by  illustrious Rishis and Sages, his lotus feet represents nectar, he is six faced, he is extremely valorous, he is originated from the delight of Goddess Gauri,  I shall prostrate before supreme Lord Shadanana who eradicates miseries and sorrows of worshiper, he fulfils all the desires of the worshiper as well as people reluctant to venerate, he is the destroyer of demons Prachanda and Tharakasura, he remains with or without properties, he has thousands of forms, he is Parathpara who remains Saguna/possessing properties as well as Nirguna/without properties, he is beyond human intellect, he remains perceivable as well as non-perceivable, I shall always prostrate before Shikhivahana who is mounted on celestial vehicle peacock, I shall prostrate before Lord Shadanana who is the essence of supreme Bhramam and he imparts the knowledge of Bhramam, he represents directions and sky, he has golden color complexion, he has powerful arms of golden complexion, I shall prostrate before Hiranya who has the luster of precious yellow metal and  has golden virility, he symbolizes severe penances, he immerses in deep meditation, he is youthful always, he surpasses the beauty of Manmatha, he is the provider of abundance of wealth and prosperity to worshiper, I shall prostrate before Lord shadanana who was born in the reeds, he has supreme radiance of Adithya in the early hours of dawn, he carries Danda/stick, he is powerful and extremely valorous, he was brought up by six Mothers,  I shall prostrate before Shakthipani who is wielded in powerful trident, he is illustrious, he is the commander of Ganas, he has no birth or aging, I shall always prostrate before Lord Shadanana who resides on the peak of mountains, he is Kumara who is the Lord of living beings, he is omnipresent, he crushed the pride of mount Krauncha and  Tharakasura, he is carried by Lord Agni, he is the son of sacred river Ganga, he is Karthikeya who was brought up six young maidens of Karthika.
