Shiva who is Shambhu/benevolent, he symbolizes auspiciousness, he is Prabhu/most powerful, he dwells as Prana
in living beings, he is the source of living beings, and he is the Lord of
living beings, he is Vibhu/eternal, all pervading, munificent, he is
Vishvanatha, he is Jagannatha who is Lord of the Universe, he is eternal
bliss, he is the safest haven to worshiper, he is Lord of Bhoothaganas, I shall prostrate before
supreme Lord Shiva who is Shambhu/benevolent, he symbolizes auspiciousness, he
is decked in garlands of corpse without head, his chest is adorned in venmous
serpents, he is Mahakala who won over Kala/death, he is served by Ganas, he has
attractive matted hairlocks decorated with the streams of sacred Ganga, I shall
prostrate before supreme Lord Shiva who is Shambhu/benevolent, he symbolizes
auspiciousness, his attractive matted hair locks are decorated with the
crescent moon, he is smeared sacred ashes all over the body, he is primordial,
he is beyond description and human
intellect, he has won over greatest desires, he has conquered Lord of Love, I shall prostrate
before supreme Lord Shiva who is Shambhu/benevolent, he symbolizes
auspiciousness, he is settled under the peepal tree, he has boisterous/alarming
voice, he destroys severe sins of the worshiper, he has greatest effulgence, he
is Gireesha who is Lord of mountains, he is Lord of Ganas/Ganesha, he is Lord of
Lords/Suresha, he is supreme Lord of the Universe/Mahesha, I shall prostrate
before supreme Lord Shiva who is Shambhu/benevolent, he symbolizes
auspiciousness, he has shared half of his body with the daughter of
Gireendhra/Himavan, he dwells in the highest mountain peaks, his body is the
resting place of king of serpents, he is Parambhramam, he is worshiped by Lord
Bhrama and all the deities, I shall prostrate before supreme Lord Shiva who is
Shambhu/benevolent, he symbolizes auspiciousness, he is wielded in
Kapalam/skull, Thrishoolam/Trident, his
lotus feet are capable to fulfil all the desires of the worshiper who are
surrendered to him, he provides immense strength and power to the deities, I
shall prostrate before supreme Lord Shiva who is Shambhu/benevolent, he
symbolizes auspiciousness, his attractive physique has the luster of autmn
moon, he is the source of delight of Ganas, he has three eyes, he is pure, he
is greatest companion of Lord Kubera, he is the consort of Aparna/Goddess Sri
Parvathi who undertakes severe penances without consuming even the leaves, he
has greatest myths/splendor, I shall prostrate before supreme Lord Shiva who is
Shambhu/benevolent, he symbolizes auspiciousness, he is Hara who destroys the
sins of the worshiper, he is decked in venomous serpents as ornaments all over
the body, he merrily dwells in the funeral grounds, he is Bhava who is the
purifier of souls, he is the essence of Veda, he is devoid of passions or
desires, he merrily explores through the funeral grounds, he burned the Lord of
Love with his third eye. Whoever reads
or listens to this glorious verses descring the splendor of Shoolapani who is wielded
in powerful trident, with intense devotion and faith during the hours of early
dawn would be blessed with virtuous offspring, wealth and abundance of grains,
greatest companions, and appropriate female companions as wedded wife,
ultimately liberation from the repeated births.
