Sri Achyuthashtakam – Sri Vamana Puranam - Lyrics and meanings

I shall meditate upon Lord Ramachandhra who is the consort of Goddess Janaki, he is supreme Lord  Hari personified as Achyutha who is imperishable, Keshava who have attractive curly hair locks, Rama who is flawless and son of Dhasharatha, Narayana who reclines on the serpent Anantha in milky ocean, Krishna who has the complexion of dark clouds, Dhamodhara who got tied around the waist by a rope, Vasudeva who is unconquerable, Sreedhara who carries Goddess Sri Mahalakshmi on his chest, Madhava who is consort of Goddess Sri Mahalakshmi, Gopikavallabha who is dearest darling of young maidens of cowherds of Vraja.  I shall meditate upon Achyutha as well Keshava who is consort of Goddess Sathyabhama, he is Madhava and Sreedhara as well, he is dearest darling of Radhika, he resides in the supreme abode of Indhira/Goddess Mahalakshmi, he has great splendor, he is the delight of Goddess Devaki, and he is the son of Nanda.    I shall prostrate before supreme Lord Vishnu who is the destroyer of Kamsa, he is Vamshi, he is Jishnu who is inconquerable, he is wielded in Shankha/conch, and Chakra/wheel, he is beloved of Goddess Rukmani, he is personified as Rama who is beloved of Janaki, he is dearest darling of cowherds of Vraja and he is worshiped by them.  I shall meditate upon Lord Krishna, he is  Govindha who gives pleasure to the senses, he is Narayana who is personified as Rama, he is Sreepathi who is the consort of Goddess Sri Mahalakshmi, he is Vasudeva who is the protector of Universe and its living beings, he is Sreenidhi who symbolizes wealth, he is Achyutha  who is Anantha/eternal as well, he is Madhava who is the consort of Goddess Sri Mahalakshmi, he is Adhokshaja who is perceivable through Vedas and scriptures, he is Dwarakanayaka who is the commander of sacred city of Dwaraka, he is the savior of Dhraupadhi.  I shall earnestly pray to Raghava to protect us, he is the destroyer of demons, he is adorned by the presence of Goddess Sita, he explored through the dense wood of Dhandakaranya in order to purify the Earth, he was constantly attended by his younger brother Lakshmana, he is served by the army of Vanaras, he is worshiped by Sage Agasthya.  Oh! Balagopala, kindly protect us, he killed the demons Dhenuka and Arishta, he destroyed Keshi and Kamsa, he plays melodious music on flute, and he crushed the pride of Poothana.  I shall meditate upon supreme Lord who has the eyes resembles to lotus flower petals, I shall meditate upon his lotus feet that is crimson coloured, he is attired in majestic garments, he has the resemblance to lightning, I shall meditate upon supreme Lord who is supremely charming and has the appearance of rain clouds, his chest is adorned in garlands made of flowers of woods.  I shall meditate upon supreme Lord who has beautiful curly hair locks that spread over charming face, he is adorned in precious gem on his hair locks, he is decked in magnificent earrings that keeps dangling towards the neck, he is decorated in ornaments as Hara/necklace, Keyoora/armlets, and bangles, he is adorned in marvelous waist belt that produces melodious noises.  Whoever reads or listens to Achyuthashtakam with intense devotion and faith, worshiper who yearns for union with supreme Bhramam would attain the abode of supreme Lord Hari.
