Sri Bhairava speaks “ Oh! Parameshani, I shall narrate the sacred armor of Mahamrithyunjjaya which is highly auspicious, carefully listen to me,  Oh! Maheshvari, whoever adorns it, read or listen to it would remain admirable in the three worlds and the worshiper would lead a happy and prosperous life.  Oh! Varanane/beautiful faced, I shall narrate it  for you, it is highly commendable verses should not be accessible to the wicked people.”

Sri Mahamrithyunjjaya Kavacham is highly propitious hymn composed by Rishi Bhairava, it has Gayathri as Chandhass, Sri Mahamrithyunjjaya Maharudra is presiding deity, Om as Beejam, Jroom as Shakthi, Sa: as Keelakam, Haum as Thathvam, it is recited to attain Chathurvargaphalam known as Dharma, Arththa, Kama, and Moksha.  I shall meditate upon Lord Rudra who resides in the middle of Chandhramandala, in order to attain a life of liberated soul,  I shall meditate upon Lord  Mrithyunjjaya who has won over death, I shall reverentially pronounce the  sacred syllable Om Jroom Sa; Haum and pray to Lord Mrithyunjjaya to  protect my head, I shall pronounce the sacred syllable Om Shreem and earnestly pray to Lord Shiva to protect my forehead, I shall pronounce the sacred syllable Om Haum and earnestly pray to Sadhashiva to protect my eye brows, I shall earnestly pray to Neelakanda who has bluish throat to protect my eyes, I shall earnestly pray to Kapardhi who have attractive matted hair locks to protect my ears, I shall earnestly pray to Thrilochana who has three eyes to protect my sense organs, I shall earnestly pray to Thripuranthaka who killed the demons of Thripura to protect my nose, I shall earnestly pray to  Peeyushaghatabhrith who carries pot of nectar to protect my face, I shall earnestly pray to Kriththikambara to protect my lips, I shall earnestly pray to Hadakesha to protect my jawline, I shall earnestly pray to  Batuka Bhairava to protect my face, I shall earnestly pray to Kalamadhana who crushed the pride of Yama to protect my shoulders, I shall earnestly pray to Ganapriya who is beloved of Ganas to protect my throat, I shall earnestly pray to Skandhapitha who is the father of Lord Skandha to protect back of my shoulder, I shall earnestly pray to Girisha who is the Lord of Mountains to protect my arms, I shall earnestly pray to Girijanatha who is the consort of Goddess Girija to protect my nails and fingers, I shall earnestly pray to Tharapathi who is the commander of planets to protect my bosom, I shall earnestly pray to Pashupathi who is the Lord of living beings to protect my chest, I shall earnestly pray to Kuberavaradha who blessed Lord Kubera with the honor of Lord of wealth to protect my stomach, I shall earnestly pray to Marashasana who crushed the pride of Lord Kamadeva to protect me from both the sides, I shall earnestly pray to Sharva to protect my navel, I shall earnestly pray to Shooli who is wielded in powerful trident to protect my back, I shall earnestly pray to Shankara who symbolizes auspiciousness to protect me in all climatic conditions, I shall earnestly pray to Guhyakavallabha who is dearest of Lord Guha to protect my reproductive organs, I shall earnestly pray to Kalanthaka who causes deluge at the end of Yuga to protect my waist line, I shall earnestly pray to Andhakaghathaka who killed demon Anthaka to protect my thighs, I shall earnestly pray to Jagarooga who is always watchful to protect my knees, I shall earnestly pray to Kalabhairava to protect my calves, I shall earnestly pray to Jadadhari who has attractive matted hair locks to protect my ankle, I shall earnestly pray to Mrithyunjjaya who has won over death to protect my feet, I shall earnestly pray to Aghora who is not dreadful to protect me from toe to head always, I shall  earnestly pray to Sadhyojatha to protect me from head to toe always, I shall earnestly pray to Mritheshvara who carries corpse to protect me during the hours being helpless or loss of honor, I shall earnestly pray to Balavikarana from the east, I shall earnestly pray to Kalashasana from the south, I shall earnestly pray to Parvathinatha who is the Lord of Goddess Parvathi to protect me from  the west, I shall earnestly pray to Manonmana to protect me from above areas, I shall earnestly pray to Eshvara to protect me from the Eshanam, I shall earnestly pray to  Agnilochana who has Agni as eye to protect me from Agneya, I shall earnestly pray to Shambhu to protect me from Nairuthi, I shall earnestly pray to Vayuvahana to protect me from  Vayavya, I shall earnestly pray to Balapramadhana to protect me from Oodhvam, I shall earnestly pray to Parameshvara to protect me from Pathaloka, I shall earnestly pray to Mahamrithyunjjaya to protect me always from ten directions and  protect me from  the battlefields, while working as messenger for  the clan of Kings , during the hours of difficulties and life threat,  I shall pronounce the sacred syllable Om Jroom Maharudra, Devadeva who symbolizes Dhashakshara, I shall earnestly pray to Lord Bhrama to protect me during the hours of dawn, I shall earnestly pray to Bhairava to protect me  during the hours of noon, I shall earnestly pray to Sarveshvara during the hours of dusk, I shall earnestly pray to Nithyachethana to protect me during the night, I shall earnestly pray to Mahadeva during midnight, I shall earnestly pray to  Mahomaya during the end hours of night. I shall always meditate upon Lord Mrithyunjjaya who symbolizes sacred syllable Om Jroom Sa: Haum, to protect us always.  The above are the sacred hymns known as armor of Mahamrithyunjjaya is highly auspicious and it is difficult to obtain in the three worlds.

"The sacred armor of Mahamrithyunjjaya is the essence of sacred texts and all Thanthric texts, it has been highly confidential, it provides abundance of devout act, it is divine and provides divinity of all the deities, whoever reads or listen to the sacred armor and worship Lord Mahamrithyunjjaya  would attain the blessings of Mahadevi and Thryambaka as well, worshiper would attain all kinds of siddhis, triumph in battle field and win over enemies, and victory in all fields, worshipers house would be blessed with the presence of devi, along with abundance of wealth, prosperity and happiness, worshiper would be relieved from Mahabhayam/extreme fears, Maharogam/critical illnesses, Mahamaribhayam/fear of epidemic, Dhurbhiksham/famine and drought, worshiper would be freed from all the enemies with the blessings of Mrithyunjjaya, worshiper would attain  Dhanam/wealth, Puthran/virtuous offspring, Lakshmi/wealth, Arogyam/good health and Sarvasampath/all kinds of richness.  Oh! Devi, I shall promise you, it is definite that the worshiper would attain all that mentioned above richness. The sacred armor of Mahamrithyunjjaya remained highly confidential and it provides abundance of pieities and Siddhis.”
