Goddess Bhairavi was having pleasing hours with Lord Bhairava,
Goddess Bhairavi spoke “ Oh! Bhagavan,
Oh! Sarvadharmajja who symbolizes righteousness, Oh! Bhoothavathsalya who is
extremely compassionate to living beings, kindly narrate the most auspicious
hymn which could bring prosperity, wealth, happiness, welfare, good fortune,
opulence, and fulfill all the desires of the worshiper, I would like to listen
to those glorious hymns for the good of living beings, kindly narrate them for
the benefit of living beings.”
Lord Bhairava replied “ Oh! Devi, Oh!
Priye, I shall narrate all those glorious hymns which could bring richness,
opulence, and auspiciousness to worshiper who listens or recites it on regular
basis, it also provides wisdom,
knowledge, wealth, happiness, welfare, and all kinds of auspicious, Mathangi Hridhayasthothram is highly
propitious hymns which destroys sufferings of poverty, it provides all kinds of
meritorious rewards and wellness to worshiper. Mathangi Hridhayasthothram was composed by
Rishi Dhakshinamoorthi, it has Virat as Chandhass, presiding deity is Goddess Mathangi
, Hreem as Beejam, Hum as Shakthi, Kleem as Keelakam, it is recited to get all
the desires fulfilled.”

I shall prostrate before supreme Lord
Dhakshinamoorthi, and I shall offer salutation with my head, I shall prostrate
before the Virat Chandhass and offer salutation with my face, I shall prostrate
before supreme Goddess Mathangi, and offer salutation with my heart, I shall
pronounce the sacred syllables of ‘Hreem
Beeja’ and offer salutation with my hidden parts, I shall pronounce the sacred
syllables ‘Hum Shakthi’ and offer salutation with my feet, I shall pronounce
the sacred syllables’ Kleem Keelaka’ and offer salutation with my navel, I shall offer salutation with
all the limbs.
|| Hridhayadhi Shadanga Nyasa: ||
I shall pronounce the sacred syllables ‘Hreem’
and offer salutation with my heart, I shall pronounce the sacred syllable ‘Kleem’
and offer salutation with my head, I shall pronounce the sacred syllable ‘ Hum’
and offer salutation with my tuft, I shall pronounce the sacred syllable ‘Hreem’ and offer salutation with my three eyes, I shall
pronounce the syllable ‘Kleem’ and
assume it as sacred armor, I shall pronounce the sacred syllable ‘ Hum’ and
assume it as Asthra.

I
shall pronounce the sacred syllable ‘Hreem’ and offer salutation with my
thumb, I shall pronounce the sacred
syllable ‘Kleem’ and offer salutation
with my forefinger, I shall pronounce the sacred syllable ‘Hum’ and offer
salutation with my middle finger, I shall pronounce the sacred syllable ‘Hreem’
and offer salutation with my ring finger, I shall pronounce the sacred
syllable ‘Kleem’ and offer salutation
with my little finger, I shall pronounce the sacred syllable ‘Hum’ and offer
salutation with my palm and back of the palm.
I
shall prostrate before supreme Goddess Mathangi
who has the complexion of dark clouds, she is attired in crisp garment,
she is pure, she has Surya, Chandhra and Agni as three eyes resembles to lotus
flower petals, she is seated on the majestic throne decorated with gems, she fulfills
all the desires of the worshiper, her lotus feet are worshiped by deities, she
has the luster of blue lotus flower, she represents wood fire to the wicked
Dhanavas, her four hands are decked in Pasham, Khadgam, Khedam , and Angusham, I shall prostrate before supreme
Goddess Mathangi who has most attractive and delicate limbs, I shall meditate upon her lotus feet which symbolizes good fortune, richness, opulence,
wealth, and welfare, she is worshiped by
wise, intellectuals, and scholarly, her compassionate grace is capable to wipe
off all the afflictions, miseries, sorrows, and grief of the worshiper, Oh!
Matha, worshiper who recites or listens to the glorious hymns with intense devotion
and faith would attain excellence in poetry, Oh! Lalitha, with your grace
worshiper would be blessed with the eternal presence of Goddess Vani on their
tongue, Oh! Matha, kindly forgive us for not reciting or venerating on regular
basis, I shall reverentially offer garland of Kadhamba flowers on your head, I
shall reverentially recite thousands of your sacred names and offer thousands
of lotus flower at your lotus feet, and I shall reverentially prostrate before
those lotus feet which was worshiped by Devavratha, Oh! Matha, I shall offer sweet
meat, I am copiously fortunate enough to take immense pleasure in the veneration
of your lotus feet which lures the three worlds, Oh! Matha, whose ears are adorned
in magnificent ornaments which spread intense luster, and beautiful smile on
face, Oh! Rama, I shall meditate upon
your lotus face and attractive eye brows, kindly bless us with your eternal
presence in our homes, worshiper whoever read or listens to the marvelous verse
praising the splendor of Goddess Mathangi with intense devotion and faith would
get all their desires fulfilled, worshiper who reads or listens to it would
attain self-realization/knowledge of Athman and god –realization, worshiper
would be relieved from miseries, and misfortune , worshiper who yearn for
wealth would attain the same, worshiper who long for appropriate companion as
wedded wife/husband would attain lovely companion, childless couple would be
blessed with virtuous offspring, students will attain refined knowledge and
various skills, worshiper who yearn for success would attain the same,
worshiper will regain the lost glories and kingdom, worshiper would obtain wealth like Lord Kubera, worshiper would achieve abundance
of meritorious reward with the recitation of these sacred hymns praising the
splendor of Goddess Mathangi.”
