– 9 – Sri Guru Gita – 91 – 100
Lord
Mahadeva speaks “ Oh! Devi, I shall describe the people who should not be chosen
as preceptor, 1) the person who creates false notion and illusion in their
presence is not deserved to worship as a Guru, should be abandoned immediately
and search for a true and courageous preceptor. 2) The people who oppose Veda, Vedanta,
Shastra, are Pankhandi, and sinners, 3) people who promote unrest, does not have belief in religious and
spiritual rites, or does not have belief in Lord, 4) Bhedhabudhdhi/lack the
sense of Oneness-in-all, Dhurachara/does not follow the rite or disciplines, 5)
Sthreelampada/womanizer, Krithaghna/ungrateful, selfish, Bakavriththya/deceitful
like the crane that stands on a single leg in the pond waiting for the prey like
the people who create the wrong impression in others, and reveal themselves as great teacher/knower
of all before others, are not considered as a preceptor or not deserved to
respect or worship, these kinds of people should be abandoned for good. Oh!
Priye 6)Karmabhrashta who does not show any interest in the performance of
customary rites or basic rite 7) impatient, the person who engages in constant
conflicts and arguments 8) The person with excessive desire/Kami, Kopi/person
who get angry without any reason, Ahmisasheela/person who torture others,
Chanda, Kroora/cruel, Shata/dull-minded, Ajjani/lack of knowledge, Mahapapi/the person who commit grave sins, should not be considered as Guru. Oh! Deveshi,
the Paramarththa Thaththva should be taught to the Mumukshu who yearn to
achieve liberation from the miseries and sorrows of worldly existence and
repeated births, sincere devotion is the supreme source to achieve
fruitfulness in life. The Guru is Gooda/ is difficult to understand the nature
of him because he is Sarvasanga Parithyagi/abandoned the association of people,
Dhrida/courageous and firm, freely and fearlessly wander around, pleasant
always, achieved the supreme state of Samadhi, remain serene and blissful
always. The Guru Upadhesha is highly propitious, it removes the sins of the
worshiper. Oh! Suvrithe, I get highly pleased with the ingredients offered to
Gurudeva, the Gurupadhuka, Gurumudra, and Gurumanthra should be kept highly
confidential.”
Goddess
Parvathi speaks “Oh! Natha, I shall surrender Buddhi, Indhriya, Mana, Prana,
Vacha, Karmana at your lotus feet, I shall repeatedly prostrate at your lotus
feet which is the shelter place of Mumukshu who yearn to get rid of interest in
worldly matters and bondage, impurities of Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha,
and Mathshcharya, Body and I consciousness, and immerses in meditation and
contemplation at your lotus feet and undertakes austerities and Tapsya to get rid
of impurities, and protect themselves from the vicious cycles of rebirth,
ultimately achieves union with the supreme Bhramam.”

Mahadeva speaks “Oh! Priye, I shall describe the consequences of the Jeeva who
is completely drenched in the material matters, richness, wealth, money,
possession, fame, attachment to wife, children, companion, and relatives, /Laukikasukha,
and also describe the need to abandon the same for the welfare of the world.”
