Chapter – 5 – Sri Guru Gita – 41 – 50


Lord Mahadeva speaks “ Oh! Parvathi, the grace of supreme preceptor is highly capable to protect the Jeeva from the curse of Muni/Rishis and Sage, Pannaga, Sura, and even from fears under the clutches of the Kalamrithyu. Alas! None of the deities are capable to protect the Jeeva from the curse of the Preceptor or none of the Rishis and Sages are capable to relieve the curse or protect the Jeeva from the curse of Guru. Oh! Devi, the sacred syllables ‘Gu’ and ‘Ru’ is Manthraraja, is the superior among the sacred syllables and is the essence of Smrithi,  Veda, Purana as well. The person who has embraced the saffron robes, Dhanda, Kamandalu to achieve honor from the public, cannot be addressed a Sanyasin, if he is not Jjanathathpara/enthusiastic to achieve knowledge, and has profound knowledge in Paramarththa Thaththva, Nigamagamashasthra, Shruthi, Smrithi, Purana, etc. The person who achieves the Mahavakya/Manthradheeksha after several years of sincere worship at the lotus feet of the Preceptor is addressed as Sanyasin otherwise he is merely a Veshadhari/person attired in saffron robes. The preceptor enlightens the Jeeva with the knowledge of indestructible Purusha/Paramathma resides as a soul in the Jeeva, which is supreme Bhramam,  Nithya, Nirakara, Nirguna, pure, unblemished, free from afflictions, has neither birth nor death. The Preceptor imparts the knowledge of destructible Prakrithi/material matters such as fame, money, richness, possession, wealth, attachment to wife, children, relatives, and companion, etc., that have fleeting nature causes constant miseries and sorrows in the absence of them. The infinite Nama Roopa Dhrishya in the Prakrithi has momentary life like in the Swapnavastha/dream, all those Dhrishya disappears in the Sushupthi/sleep, therefore the Prakrithi has impermanent nature. The Athman/soul is Paramathma which is the sole source of the functioning of the mind, intellect, Chithth, Ahamkara, Prana, Karma, and Gnanendhriyas, the body, and material matters undergo constant transformation and ruin. The Preceptor symbolizes Dheepa/lightened lamp of brilliant flames inspires the Jeeva with the knowledge of Bhrama Thaththva and lightens the knowledge in his disciple thereby removes the darkness of ignorance. In this way, the compassionate Preceptor inspires the disciple to undertake the Shamadhamadi, austerities, vows, observance of celibacy, Swadhyaya, Athmavichara etc. to get rid of impurities of Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, and Mathshcharya, body and I consciousness, interest in worldly matters and bondage, and guides through the Mukthimarga. I shall prostrate before the Preceptor who symbolizes all-pervasive supreme Bhramam, and the Universe and its living and non-living things are the essence of that Paramathma Parambhramam. I shall meditate upon the supreme preceptor who is beyond comparison or description enlightens the Jeeva with the knowledge of Paramarththa Thaththva, and thereby removes illusions of worldly existence, provides eternal bliss, and resides in the heart-like lotus heart of the worshiper, has the sparkling of Shudhdha Spatika/pure crystal. I am that Paramathma Parambhramam, I am not different from that Parambhramam, like the reflection of crystal on the crystal, and the reflection of the mirror on the mirror. I am that Chithakaranandhaswaroopa Paramathma Parambhramam resides as Athman in me.”

Guru Prasadhatha:  Swathmanyathmarama Nireekshanath | Samatha Mukthimargena  Swathmajjanam Pravarththathe ||

 

Abhramasthambha Paryantham  Paramathma Swaroopakam | Sthavaram  Jangamashchaiva  Pranmami  Jaganmayam ||

 

Parathparatharam  Dhyayen Nithya Manandhakarakam | Hridhayakasha Madhyastham  Shudhdha Spatika Sannibham ||

 

Spatike Spatikam  Roopam Dharppane  Dharppano  Yadha | Thadhathmani Chidhakaramanandham Sohamithyutha ||
