– 21 – Sri Vinaya Pathrika – Sri Rama Sthuthi
Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “ Victory to
supreme Lord Sri Ramachandra! Oh! Sacchidhanandhaswaroopa/who symbolizes Sath/indestructible,
Chith/pure, Anandha/bliss, Paramathma Parambhramam resides as a soul in the
Jeeva, which is unblemished, free from birth or death, afflictions, etc. Oh!
Rama, you are the Anandhaganaswaroopa Paramathma incarnates and performs
various passionate sports. You have innumerable forms, you have incarnated to
remove the grief of the deities, Lord Bhrama, Sidhdhagana, Rishis, Sages and
Manushya were tormented by the haughty demons. Oh! Bhagavan, you have
personified as Rama, who symbolizes virtues, truth, and auspiciousness, you
have born as the son of Koshaladheesha Raja Dhasharatha and Devi Kaushalya. Oh!
Rama, Victory to you! The Salokya, Saroopya, Sayujya, and Sampeeya which is the
succulent fruits of Moksha incarnated on the Earth as the four sons of Raja
Dhasharatha and Devi Kaushalya, Devi Kaikeyi, and Devi Sumithra. Oh! Rama
victory to you! You have performed plenty of Vedoktha Yajjadhi Karma, you have
ruled the Earth and provided bliss to Bhramana,
Go/cow, Dharma, Prithvi, devotees, Sadhus, and Santh Vrinda. Oh! Rama, Victory to you! You
have protected the Yajja of Sage Vishwamithra, and killed numerous demons who
created obstacles to the Yajja. You have destroyed the Dhanavas who troubled
the Sajjanas. Oh! Bhagavan, you have removed the curse on Gauthamapathni Devi
Ahalya who had assumed the form of Pashana, in this way, you have destroyed the
sins of her. Oh! Bhagavan, you have broken the Shivadhanuss and crushed the
pride of Kings assembled in the Palace of King Janaka, you have destroyed the pride
of Sage Parashurama who was arrogant of Bal/power, Veerya/valor and
Vijaya/victory. Oh! Rama, Victory to you! You are extremely valorous in the
Raghuvamsha and you are the protector of Dharma. Oh! Bhagavan, you sincerely
followed the promise to parents and preceptor, you have enthusiastically
undertaken expedition by foot to the hills of Chithrakoota, Dhandakavana,
Vindhyachala etc. you have achieved immense bliss living in the dense wood and
purified the Earth with your footprints. Oh! Sri Ramachandra, Victory to you!
You have punished the Kakaroopi Jayanth who is the son of Indhra, for his
misdemeanor to Devi Sita. You have killed the demon Viradha, you have
disfigured the female demon Shoorpanakha who was disguised as Devakanya and
appealed to marry; thus, you have humiliated the haughty demon Ravana. Oh! Sri
Ramachandra, Victory to you! You have killed numerous demons Khara,
Thrishirass, Dhooshana, and the huge army of Ravana have tormented the life
on the Earth. You have liberated the Mamsabhoji Hridhraraj Jatayu/king of
birds, and Shabari who was born in the lowly clan. Oh! Karunasamudhra who is
the ocean of mercy, you have endless glorious legends, you are the destroyer of
Thrividha Thapa/Adhibauthika, Adhidevika, and Adhyathmika, the sufferings
derived from the attachment to material matters, possession, fame, richness,
wealth, children, wife, relatives, companions, and the sufferings from body and
I consciousness due to the ignorance and lack of knowledge of the body has to
undergo a constant transformation, aging, illnesses, and death, and the sufferings
of the pain of separation from beloved and loss of wealth and fame, etc. Oh! Sri
Ramachandra, Victory to you! You have beheaded the Madhantha Kanbandha, you
have killed Bali and crowned Sugrivah as the King of Kishkindha, you have a huge
army of Vanaras and bears, you have given shelter to Sharanagath Vibheeshana
and provided him Bhukthi and Mukthi as well. Oh! Sri Ramachandra, Victory to
you! As a part of the sport, you have constructed a mighty bridge across the vast
ocean, you have battled against Ravana and destroyed the entire clan of demons,
and you have returned with Devi Sita, and Lakshman along with the monkey
warriors to Ayodhya, you have freed the three worlds from the annoyance of
Ravana, and freed Indra, Kubera, and Lokapalakas from the fear of him. Oh! Sri
Ramachandra, Victory to you! I shall prostrate before the supreme Lord who
returned to the Kingdom of Ayodhya with Devi Sita, Lakshman, monkey warriors,
Vibheeshana, and Sugrivah, in the Pushpaka Vimana. Oh! Bhagavan, you have
crowned as the King of Ayodhya and Devi Seetha/Vidheharani as Maharani of Ayodhya
and provided perpetual bliss to the Avadhvasi.”
