Chapter
– 24 – Sri Vinaya Patrika – The method of worship of Lord Sri Ramachandra to
achieve purity of mind/Nirmala Mathi.
Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Mind,
meditate upon the lotus feet of
Raghukula Veera Sri Ramachandra, he is the destroyer of
Ragadvesha/impurities of mind of Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Matha and
Mathshcharya, he removes the false notion of dualities and enlightens the soul with
the supreme knowledge of ‘Jeevathma is Paramathma’ and ‘Oneness-in All, the
all-pervasive Bhramam assumes infinite Nama and Roopa, and the Universe and the
living and non-living things are the essences of that supreme Bhramam/Sarvam
Bhramamayam. He is eternal Paramathma Parambhramam resides as a soul in Jeeva,
all the Jada and Chethanavasthu are the essence of Sri Hari, hence contemplate
upon that Paramathma and worship him, adore him with the rich fragrant Dhoop
so that the foul smell of Ragadhvesha and Dhvandhabhava would disappear. Oh!
Mind, adore that supreme Lord with the earthen lamp, that would remove the
impurities of the mind, and remove the darkness of Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha,
Andhakara in the mind, and impart the Jeeva with the Athmajjana, as a result, it
would destroy the pride in the body and I consciousness/me, myself, and mine.
Oh! Mind, offer the pure form of Neivedhya/devotion to the supreme Lord, that
Bhakthibhava would please the Lakshmipathi. Oh! Mind, offer the Premaroopi
Thamboolam would remove the grief, false perceptions, interest in worldly
matters, and bondage, eventually the sufferings of worldly existence as well.
Oh! Mind, worship the Lord with the performance of fire sacrifice so that the
Indhriyas immersed in the Shubhashubharoopi Karma would get cleansed,
the Thyagroopi fire would spread Sathvagunaroopi light in you, finally, these
are the Bhakti, Gnana, Vairagya form of Deepavali offer to the supreme Lord
Jagannivasa. Oh! Mind, after the veneration, the Nirmala Hridhayaroopi shrine decorate
with the Shanthiroopi palanquin and make Lord Ramachandra sleep on it. Oh!
Mind, while Lord Sri Ramachandra relaxes, appoint the Kshama/endurance, and Karuna/kindness as sincere attendants, and
wherever Hari resides, there will not be heavy dark clouds like Maya. Oh! Mind,
the Sanakadhis, Veda, Shukhabhramam, Adhishesha, Lord Shiva, Maharishi Narada,
illustrious Rishis, and Sages worship the Lord in the above-said methods. I am
Tulsidas, the servant of Nirmalamathi Muni/ascetics, promises whoever worships
the supreme Lord Hari in the above-mentioned methods would get rid of
impurities of the mind, interest in worldly matters, and bondage, and would effortlessly
cross the ocean of worldly existence.”
Sri Tulsidas Maharaj continues “Oh! Mind,
the worship of Lord Sri Ramachandra would remove sufferings and grief, it would
burn the Papa/grave sins and sorrows into ashes, it would destroy the endless
desires to accumulate wealth, possession, fame, money, richness, and attachment
to wife, children, relatives, and companions, that has momentary life. The
worship of Sri Ramachandra uproots the above-mentioned Dhukharoopi
Samsara/grief of worldly existence. The veneration of Lord Sri Ramachandra with
the fresh alluring flowers, rich fragrant Dhoop, and the sounds of divine
instruments would chase out all the Paparoopi birds, the regular worship of
Lord Ramachandra would remove the darkness of ignorance in the hearts of the worshiper,
it would spread pure light of wisdom, all the material matters/Asath/Prakrithi
is destructible, and the Paramathma Paramapurusha resides as a soul in the Jeeva
is indestructible/Sath. Oh! Mind, the worship of Lord Ramachandra would remove
the Kama, Krodha, Moha, Madha, Mathshcharya, body and I consciousness, interest
in worldly matters and bondage, and provide the serenity of mind/free from
redundant thoughts. The worship of Lord Ramachandra would destroy the
Kaliyugaroopi impurities of the mind and enlighten the soul with the Athmajjana
which is the Jeevathma is Paramathma/Oneness-in-all, and it is the gateway to
Moksha. Whoever taken shelter at the lotus feet of Lord Sri Ramachandra are the
Sharanagatha/Bhaktharoopi Kumudhini spread rich alluring fragrances in the
dense wood of Samsara, keep enticing others spreading serenity and bliss, these
ascetics, Santhvrindh, Sharanagatha, Bhakthavrind are capable to destroy the
Abhimanaroopi wicked demon Mahishasura/pride in body, wealth, possession, clan,
family, richness, etc.. that has impermanent nature.”
