Sri Vinaya Patrika – Sri Tulsidas Maharaj – Bhramavidhya is Bhramanandham

Chapter -66 -Sri Vinaya Patrika  - Bhramavidhya is Bhramanandham

Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Madhava, how did I get relieved from the shackles of desires and lust? Alas! even after performing crores of Sadhanas like austerities, celibacy, silence, Shama, Dhama, Sathyam, Dhaya, Swadhyaya, Athmavichara, etc.  the desire for material welfare and attachment to people, Ahamkara and Mamakara, lust and desires are not declining, it is deep-rooted, finding it difficult to get destroyed, and one thing I have understood clearly that as long as my desire and lust like Avidhya Maya does not get destroyed, the realization of self and the knowledge of all-pervasive Paramathma Parambhramam is impossible to achieve. The austerities, Swadhyaya, Shamadhamadhi, observance of celibacy, silence, Athmavichara will not remove the lust and desires if the Sadhana was not undertaken sincerely, the observance of austerities, the performance of religious and spiritual rites becomes mere show off, definitely it will not remove the impurities of the mind or provide serenity. The cleansing physical body with the expensive ingredients or decorating it with highly fragrant and attractive ingredients will not remove the impurities of Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, Mathshcharya, is a futile effort as attacking the snake inside the pit, will not work even if you try all the possible methods. The mind and intellect are completely polluted by the infinite Nama Roopa Dhrishya in the Universe, it is not easy to erase or purify it. Oh! Tulsi, the grace of the supreme Lord and preceptor only could remove the false perception and enlighten the Jeeva with the knowledge of Bramham/Bhramavidhya, there is no other way to cross the unfathomable ocean of worldly existence.”

Sri Tulsidas Maharaj continues “ Oh! Madhava, your Maya is so powerful, difficult to obstruct without your compassion and kindness. Oh! Prabho, heard of your powerful Maya, contemplating upon you, and determined not to get trapped in your Maya and creating awareness among the people not to get trapped in your Maya, alas! it is impossible to understand the real nature of your Maya, until and unless the Jeeva achieve the knowledge of all-pervasive Bramham resides as a soul/Paramathma, the knowledge of self, by the time your Maya Mohjanitha Samsara might have swamped the Jeeva with endless troubles and grief. Oh! Prabho, the Bhramavidhya, knowledge of all-pervasive Bhramam is nectar provides the serenity of mind, removes redundant thoughts, if the Jeeva had the opportunity to take the taste in Bhramanandharoopi nectar then they won’t take pleasure in Mrigathrishna, Samsararoopi trap or wander all over chasing material welfare or bodily pleasure, like whoever has the possession of Chinthamani/precious gem do not wander around in search of glass pieces. The Jeeva who have achieved the knowledge of all-pervasive Bhramam reside as a soul, do not get trapped into the Vishayaroopi Samsara.  The Bhramavidhya removes the illusion, imparts the eternal truth that all those infinite Nama Roopa Dhrishya in the Jagrathavastha has fleeting nature as in the Swapnavastha. The practice of Gnana, Bhakti, Vairagya, and all those Sadhanas remove the impurities and illusion of the Jeeva. But, Tulsidas firmly believes that the ignorance gets destroyed only with the grace of Lord Sri Hari, the Bhagavath Kripa is Paramasadhana, and unquestionably it is equally distributed among the living and non-living things in the Universe, all that we need to have faith in it.”
