Chapter - 81 -Sri Vinaya Patrika - The
benefits of association with Santhbhrindh, Mahathma, and noble- souls
Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Jeeva, I
have described the struggles of this birth, in this way, you have spent several
births of humiliations and disappointments, you have taken several births in
different yonis and have gone through indescribable agonies and sufferings. You
have been wandering in the different Yonis of Andaj/born from the egg, Pindaj/
animals born from the mother’s womb, Swethaj/human birth, and Uthbeej/sprouted
from the seeds, etc. Oh! Jeeva, leave your ignorance and Avidhya Maya, and
abandon the interest in worldly matters, seeking pleasure in the material
matters of richness, wealth, money, fame, possession, and attachment on
children, wife, relatives, and companions, it has nothing to offer other than
extreme grief and agony. Oh! Jeeva, think of your welfare and protect yourself
from hurling into the vicious cycles of rebirth, engage in the meditation,
contemplation, Swadhyaya, Athmavichara, Sathyam, Dhaya, Shaucham, Arjjavam,
Thithiksha, Ahimsa, Shama, Dhama, etc. immerse in the meditation and sing in
praise of Lord Sri Ramachandra who is the protector of the Jeeva from the
unfathomable ocean of worldly existence.
The devotion, meditation and
contemplation upon the supreme Lord Sri Ramachandra work as an aircraft that
protects from the ocean of worldly existence/Bhavasagara. He is too
compassionate and kind to his devotees, meditate upon that Sudharshana
Chakradhari who is capable to liberate you from the repeated cycles of births.
The Supreme Lord Ramachandra is magnanimous, he is Mayapathi will protect you
from the Maya of Samsara, he is Lakshmipathi, he is the Lord of the Universe
and it's living and non-living things, he is Jagathpathi who is the ultimate
source for the Dharma, Arththa, Kama, and Moksha.”
Sri Tulsidas Maharaj continues “Oh! Jeeva,
the practice of devotion at the lotus feet of Lord Sri Raghunatha is easy and
blissful always. It would protect you from the Thrividhathapa/Adhidheivik,
Adhibhauthik and Adhyathmik, and it would remove the extreme fears and anguish
in the Samsara. It is not available without the association of Santhvrindh,
Bhakthvrindh, and Mahatmas, and all that can be achieved only with the grace
of Lord Sri Raghunath. Sri Raghunath is Dheenadhayalu, the recitation, and sing
in praise of glorious would provide the fortune of Santhsamagama/the association
with the Mahatmas and noble-souls. Whoever takes shelter at the lotus feet of
Santhbhrindh, and Mahatmas, would get relieved from the miseries and sorrows of Samsara,
the mere touch of these Mahatmas, and their Dharshan, would destroy all the
Papasamooha/accumulated sins. The association of these Mahatmas would remove
the Dhvandhabhava/dualities, the difference of grief and joy, respect and disrespect,
gain and loss, happiness and sorrow, will disappear forever. The Jeeva who have
taken shelter in the association of Mahatmas would realize ‘Oneness-in-all’,
and the Paramarththa Thaththva/Jeevathma is Paramathma, Sarvam Khalvitham
Bhrama, ultimately get rid of
anxiousness and grief, begin to follow austerities, Shamadhamadhi, observing celibacy,
silence, Sathyam, Dhaya, Shaucham, Ahimsa, etc. that would completely destroy
the interest in Shabdha, Sparsha, Rasa, Roopa, Gandha, Ahamkara, and Mamakara, and the impurities of Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, and Mathshcharya as well.”
