Chapter - 82 -Sri Vinaya Patrika  -  The significance of Bhakti/the practice of devotion and Sharanagathi– Prahladha Moksham – Gajendra Moksham – Vibheeshana Sharanagathi – Dhruva Charithram- Ambareesha Charithram – The victory of Pandavas over Kauravas

Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Jeeva, whoever achieved the grace of Lord Sri Ramachandra/ Kripa of Sri Raghunath, will they get threatened by the enemies? None of the enemies dare to touch the devotees of Lord Raghupathi, or can’t harm a single bodily hair, even if they try crores of methods to defeat. Whoever wishes for the destruction of noble souls, Mahatmas and Santh would pave their way to get down to the drain, these ignorant hurls into vicious cycles of rebirth in different Yonis and undergo sufferings of worldly existence till the end of the Kalpa.  The Veda highly praises the legend of Prahladha who is a child devotee and the wretched fate of demon Hiranyakashipu.   Prahaladha’s intense devotion at the lotus feet of Lord Sri Hari forced the Lord to wait for his call and emerge from the pillar. Whoever does not follow the devotion would have the fate of the Hiranyakashipu who met brutal death, and who have surrendered at the feet of Hari, Guru, Santh, does not have the fear of anything. The legend of Gajaraj Gajendhra who was drenched in bodily pleasure spends life with the family, and children in the beautiful forest of Chitrakoot was seized by the crocodile in the pond, cried out for the family and friends to save, alas! none could save him, he was exhausted and cried heart out for Lord Hari was protected from the mouth of the crocodile, eventually, the elephant and crocodile got liberated.  Vibheesha, who is an ardent devotee of Lord Vishnu, younger brother to Ravana, was a Hithopadheshi advised his brother to return Devi Sita and take shelter in Ram was exiled from the Lanka. Eventually, he has taken shelter at the lotus feet of Rama, later he was crowned as the King of Lanka. The five-year-old child-devotee Dhruva who was humiliated by his step-mother Suruchi went to Madhuvan to undertake severe penance at the instruction of Maharishi Narada, finally achieved the Dharshan of Lord Vishnu and received boons, ruled his kingdom for several years, ultimately achieved the highest status of the pole star Dhruv. King Ambareesha who was a staunch devotee of Lord Vishnu was put to test by Maharishi Dhruvassa had to take shelter in the three worlds and spend a year running for life chased by the powerful Sudharshana Chakra, finally took shelter in the devotee of Lord Vishnu. The Kauravas were utilized every strategy to destroy the Pandavas became unsuccessful, constantly jealous of the success of the Pandavas. The righteous Pandu with the grace of Bhagavan Krishna achieved success and auspiciousness, finally, the entire clan of Kauravas got killed in the epic war field of Kurukshetra. Oh! Jeeva, listen to me carefully, whoever spread the trap for others would fall in it and get destroyed. Whoever keep enmity with the noble souls, Mahathma, Santhbrindh will not achieve peace and happiness, not in their dreams. The wish-fulfilling Kalpavriksha will yield toxic fruit for the wicked. Oh! Jeeva, contemplate and meditate upon Lord Sri Hari, and get rid of miseries and sorrows of worldly existence, and get liberated from the vicious cycles of rebirth. Oh! Tulsidas, you have taken shelter at the lotus feet of Lord Raghunatha, hence you are fearless and free from anxiousness.”
