Chapter - 83 -Sri Vinaya Patrika – Sharanagathi – Jatayu Moksham – Sugreevah
& Vibheeshana Sharanagathi
Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “ Oh!
Raghunath, Oh! Swamin, you are too compassionate to your devotees who utter
your sacred names at least once, you have provided shelter to all those Jeeva
who was Parathanthra/drenched in worldly matters and bondage, impurities,
Ahamkara and Mamakara, will you keep your lotus hands on my head and
provide shelter at your lotus feet? So that I would get rid of the sufferings and
grief of worldly existence, and get liberated from the vicious cycles of
rebirth. Oh! Prabho, you have broken the powerful Shivadhanuss of Lord Shiva in
the large assembly of King Janaka and proved your might in the huge assembly
of Kings, thereby removed the false notion of the King Janaka. Oh! Prabho, you
have embraced the Nishadharaja Guha, you have highly pleased with his devotion
and dedication, showered your affection, and considered him as equivalent to
Bharatha. Oh! Kripalu, you have considered Gheedh/bird that eats meat, Jatayu as
equivalent to your father, and performed his last rite and provided your Paramdham.
Oh! Prabho, you have killed Bali who is the elder brother to Sugreevah, and crowned him as the King of Kishkindha/king of Vanaras. Oh! Prabho, you have
provided Sharanagathi/asylum to Vibheeshana, and performed coronation ceremony
of him as the King of Lanka, Oh! Bhagavan, your lotus hands fought the vicious
battle against the demons, and annihilated the entire demon clan, in this way
you have reinstated peace among the deities. Oh! Prabho, your lotus hands are
capable to remove the Santhapa and Papa of the Jeeva who have taken shelter at
your lotus feet, your lotus hands are capable to provide Sukhadhayak/happiness
and Shanthi/peace. Oh! Prabho, I am Tulsidas yearning to achieve the shadow of
your lotus hands every day and night, so that I would get rid of Maya, interest
in worldly matters, money, possession, richness, wealth, fame, attachment to
wife, children, relatives, and companion, Ahamkara and Mamakara, impurities of
Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha Madha, and Mathshcharya, and excessive interest in Shabdha
Sparsha Rasa Roopa Gandh.”
