Chapter – 132 -Sri Vinaya Pathrika – Ramanama Mahima - Sharanagathi
Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Jeeva, it
is never too late to leave your Ahamkara, Mamakara, ego, lust, pride, jealousy,
and anger, and take shelter at the lotus feet of Lord Sri Ramachandra, thereby
achieve all the auspiciousness. The
Koshaladhipathi Bhagavan Sri
Ramachandra is the ocean of mercy, you have been too wicked driven afar from the
devotion of supreme Lord Rama, you have been drenched in the Vishayavisha,
Ahamkara, Mamakara, and impurities of mind. The Bhakth/devotee/Jeevathma and
Bhagavan/Paramathma have no difference at all. Oh! Jeeva, think about ‘yourself’
looking on the Manroopi mirror will come to know the mercy of the Lord upon you,
it was you have driven yourself afar from him, getting attached to the material
matters, wealth, money, richness, fame, possession, wife, children, relatives, and companion, etc. Ahamkara and Mamakara, Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, and
Mathshcharya. It was your weakness, and desires brought miseries and sorrows, hence
accept the failures that brought constant grief to you. Oh! Jeeva, Lord Sri
Ramachandra is kind and compassionate to his devotees, his auspicious grace
would remove the ill fortune of several births in no time, all that you have to
utter the ‘Ramanama’ with intense devotion and pure love for him and request
“Oh!Kripanidhan! kindly protect me”,
there is no one in the three worlds absent from the grace of that Supreme Lord
Sri Ramachandra, and not a single wicked left out to achieve the Kripa of that
Lord and transformed into Sadhu/noble, hence take shelter in the ‘Ramanama’. Oh! Jeeva, if you have not changed your mind
after listening to the kindness of Lord Sri Ramachandra to the Vanaras,
Sugreevah, Valmiki, Reech Jambavan, Shabari, Nishadharaj Guha, who were taken
shelter at the lotus feet of Sri Ramachandra and achieved an abundance of
piousness, then you are utterly foolish, none of the Gnana will help you from
the miseries of Samsara or Janana Marana Chakra. Did Sugreevah perform any
austerities? As soon as he was crowned as the King of Kishkindha, he had
forgotten the promise to Rama and lived happily with his family, he had
forgotten the sacrifice made by Rama by killing Bali, and carrying those blames
in his head. Did Vibheeshan perform any
austerities? As soon as he was taken shelter at the lotus feet of Rama, he
achieved the lost glories, later crowned as the King of Lanka and Ananyabhakthi
at the lotus feet of Rama. Oh! Jeeva, Sri Raghunath is Sharanagatha Palaka, he
has taken the vow to protect his devotees whoever taken shelter at his lotus feet,
he doesn’t even look at your mountain-sized accumulated sins of several births. Oh! Jeeva, the supreme Lord Sri Ramachandra is
charismatic, has pleasing nature, he is skillful and extremely valorous to
remove the grief of Samsara, he is Kripasagara, hence, you practice the
recitation of ‘Ramanama’ and do not concentrate on the unwanted things, he is
the protector of Sharanagatha. Oh! Jeeva, whoever taken shelter at the lotus
feet of Lord Sri Ramachandra, with intense love and devotion, sing in praise of
his virtues with tears, listening to his glorious myths with great love, would
get liberated from the sufferings of Samsara and Samsarachakra as well. Oh!
Jeeva, do not feel guilty about the years you have spent soaking in the infinite
Shabdha, Sparsha, Rasa, Roopa and Gandha. The Supreme Lord Sri Ramachandra is
the knower of all, he is Sacchidhanandhaswaroopa Paramathma Parambhramam
resides as a soul in you, he is the sole witness of the Jeeva, Oh! Tulsidas, have
firm faith in the Supreme Lord Sri Ramachandra, he has long term relationship
with you.”
