- 85 -Sri Vinaya Patrika - Ignorance is not bliss, it is a curse
Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “The
unfortunate Jeeva who is far from the lotus feet of Lord Sri Ramachandra is
drenched in the Narakaroopi Samsara/hellish tortures of worldly existence, Ahamkara
and Mamakara, and the impurities of mind forcing them to hurl into the vicious
cycles of repeated births in different Yonis as Andaj/creatures born from the
egg, Pindaj/creatures born from the womb, Swethaj/human birth, and Beejaj/plant
life. These ignorant Jeeva who are drenched in the interest in worldly matters
of possession, fame, money, richness, wealth, attachment to wife, children,
companions and relatives, of impermanent nature, undergoes constant grief and
agonies of worldly existence immerse in sinful deeds day and night. These ignorant are swollen
with Ahamkara, Mamakara, Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, Mathshcharya, spread
disbelief, hatred, and wrong perception of Dharma and Shashthra abandons the
Vedokthamarga/Dharma that is prescribed in the Veda or does not follow any of the
D0’s and Don’ts in the Veda. These ignorant Jeeva do not take shelter in the
Santh, Mahamathma, Sadhus, or undertake any austerities, or practice Japa, or the
recitation of glorious legends of Lord Sri Ramachandra. These ignorant takes
shelter in Ahamkara and Mamakararoopi darkness of night, Sthree/woman – Dhan/wealth
– Puthra/children and grandchildren – Grihadhi Vishaya/wealth, money, richness,
possession, in the day and night, unfortunately, these Budhdhiheena/dull-minded
never wake up from the sleep of ignorance. Oh! Tulsidas, the ignorant Jeeva
abandon the nectar-like Ramanama Harinama and greedily chase after the
Vishayaroopi toxic poison, these ignorant are demons, carnivores, Neechapranis
born to give grief and burden to the world.”
