- 84 -Sri Vinaya Patrika - The evilness of Kali era – Varnna Ashrama

Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “Oh!
Dheenadhayalu Oh! Deva, the Jeeva is burning in the excruciating pain of
Thrividha Thapa such as accumulated sins/Dheivik, sufferings of poverty/Dhaihik,
grief and agony from worldly matters/Adhibhauthik. Oh! Prabho, I am helpless, taken
shelter at your lotus feet, you are the knower of All. You are Paramathma
Parambhramam resides as a soul in the Jeeva, I am completely worn out of fears
and grief caused by the attachments to material matters and people that have
fleeting nature, the impurities of Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha,
Mathshcharya, Mamakara, and Ahamkara multiplied my agonies. Oh! Prabho, Veda, and
intellectuals eulogize you as ‘Bhramanapriya’/beloved to twice-born, you are
the essence of Bhramin, alas! Today’s Bhramins are swollen with pride,
arrogance, ignorance, anger, crookedness, they have abandoned the Sathyam,
Shaucham, Dhaya, Amhimsa, Shamam, Dhamam, Aarjjavam, Thithiksha, Swadhyaya,
etc. Oh! Prabho, the Kshatriyas drenched in crores of sinful deeds, forgetting
the Dharma ensuring the safety of its subjects. The Rakshak has become
Bhakshak, they have become expert in stealing the wealth, possessions, and the properties,
they are immersed in all immoral activities like Gohathya, destruction of
Varnnavyavastha, swollen with hatred and misperception of Varnna and Ashrama
Dharma, spreading dis-belief, engaged in Athyachar, Vyabhichar, and Anachar.
They have destroyed the Kulamaryadha/disciplines of the clan, belief in
scriptures and Veda, Dharma, and harmony among the people. Hence, the people
are forgetting Varnna Ashrama Dharma, the respect for the Veda and mother Earth
has disappeared forever. Oh! Prabho, none is willing to follow the moralities
or the command of Shasthra Dharma. The subjects of the Kingdom are immersed in
immoral and wicked deeds, everyone is drenched in the interest of material matters,
richness, wealth, money, fame, attachment to wife, children, relatives, and companion,
no one is following discipline or austerities or Swadhyaya, all they do is
follow their mind and will. The Varnna Ashrama Dharma Shamadhamadhi, Sathyam,
Shaucham, Shanthi, Dhaya, Arjjavam, Thithiksha, etc. are disappeared forever,
eventually, the Kupraja/immoral people have grown abundantly. The people in the Kaliyuga
have become Pakhandi, Dhambi, Dhurachari, and wicked. The noble souls are
pushed to extreme agony and sufferings, the rich have become richer, and vice
versa. The wicked people engaged in immoral deeds against the subject and kingdom
takes immense pleasure in it, and the Bakula-bhakthi/the act of devotion has increased
like the pelican on the pond waiting for its prey standing on a single leg, eyes
closed as if under deep meditation. The Paramarththa became
Swarththa/selfishness, the wealth is looted in the name of devotion, wisdom,
Paropakara and Dharma. The Sadhana becoming unfruitful because of the impurities
of mind and ingredients used for Yajja, Japa, Thapa, and various spiritual and
religious practices, eventually, the Siddhi/fruitfulness of the Sadhana became
invalid. The Kamadhenuroopi Prithvi/Earth which is the source of rich minerals
and natural resources has become trapped in the hands of Kasayi/butcher, the exploitation
and contamination of Earth have become common practices, resulting in famine and
drought.”
Sri Tulsidas Maharaj continues “The evilness of Kaliyuga is indescribable, and it is countless. Oh! Prabhu, you are
too kind and forgiving to Jeeva, hence the wickedness and immoralities growing
out of control, kindly control the evilness of the Kali era, so that it will stop
torturing the Jeeva. Oh! Prabhu, kindly takes immediate action on the evilness
of the Kali era, so that the Jeeva always remember your kindness and praise
your virtues, otherwise the Earth would be a place void of happiness and
auspiciousness. These wicked and deceitful Jeeva grow cunning, treacherous,
taking pleasure in immoral deeds, that would bring grief, endless sufferings, and miseries. Oh! Prabhu, kindly shower your compassionate grace upon the Jeeva
so that they would grow devoted at your lotus feet, get rid of sufferings of
worldly existence and impurities of the mind, Ahamkara, Mamakara, and excessive
interest in Shabdha, Sparsha, Rasa, Roopa Gandh. Oh! Sri Ramachandra kindly takes complete
control over the evilness of the Kali era and makes the people fortunate to take
shelter at your lotus feet. Lord Sri Ramachandra listened to my humble request was
highly pleased, looked at me with extreme compassion, smiled at me, immediately
I have got freed from the anguish and grief. I have started witnessing
auspicious signs in my life, the presence of Maharaj Sri Ramachandra in my
heart caused to flee the warriors of the evilness of the Kali era. The Supreme Lord Sri
Ramachandra who is skillful/Sarvasamarththa, Jjanaroopa/wisdom personified, Dhayalu/kind,
protected the Punyaroopi warriors from the evilness of the Kali era. I have taken
shelter at the lotus feet of Lord Sri Ramachandra with intense devotion and
faith, and I have got rid of all my sufferings. Oh! Prabhu, why are you waiting
so long to get things to go beyond the control of Jeeva? Vibheeshana who is your
sincere devotee had to undergo humiliation and he was exiled from Lanka
took shelter at your lotus feet, later achieved the Kingdom of Lanka. Sugreevah
who was running out of fear of Bali was taken shelter in you and became the King of
Kishkindha. The deities were harassed by Ravana so long and you have battled
against Ravana and destroyed his entire clan, thus restored peace in the world.
Oh! Tulsi, listen to me, who did the Prabhu abandon to protect from the grief?”
