– 120 -Sri Vinaya Patrika –
Sharanagathi to get freed from the Garbhavasadhi Dhukham
Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Prabho,
Oh! Balihari, kindly shower your compassionate grace upon me, Oh!
Dhasharathanandhan, you are the protector of Jeeva, you are capable to remove
the sufferings of the Samsara, you are flawless Sharanagathapalaka, the savior to
protect the Jeeva who have taken shelter at your lotus feet. Oh! Prabho, you
are supreme Lord, you are the source of all the auspiciousness, reciting your
name would provide commendable merits to the Jeeva. The recitation of your sacred
name ‘Rama’ creates miraculous effects on the Jeeva who has no fortune intended,
it would enhance Bhakti, Gnana, Vairagya in them, eventually achieve the
Paramanandha. Oh! Prabho, I have a firm belief in you and in your sacred name,
after listening to your glorious myths, you have not left out not even a single
soul from the sufferings of Samsara, you have elevated the twice-born Ajamila,
the prostitute Ganika, and many Jeevas who have taken shelter in you. Oh!
Prabho, you have removed the curse on Devi Ahalya who was cursed to become a
rock, you have crushed the pride of Parashurama Mahakrodhi Rishi and restored
peace in him. You have been an ideal son to your parents, an ideal brother to
your siblings, perfect husband to Devi Janaki, and wise ruler to the subjects
of Kingdom of Ayodhya, an excellent disciple to your preceptor, you have
sincerely followed Veda, vows, austerities, discipline, etc. and you have
protected those who have taken shelter in you. Oh! Raghunath, you have so kind
and compassionate to the distressed Jeeva, you have been so kind and loving to
the Kevat/ferryman Guha, Shabari, Vanara, bear, Rakshasa/Vibheeshana, etc. Oh!
Prabho, you have not abandoned a single soul from your protection, Oh!
Dheenadhayalo, you have made companions of Vanara, bears, Rakshasa, Kol, Bheel,
etc. Oh! Maharaj, you have not abandoned even the ignorant, wicked, and
deceitful Jeeva, you have been merciful to all those Jeeva, now they are taking
pleasure in the association of Santhbhrindh Mahathma. Oh! Prabho, I have not
overstated anything about your virtues, you are incomparable and beyond
description, Oh! Sheelasindhu, why do not you look at Tulsi who is completely
worn out of the sufferings of Samsara?”
