Chapter 196 – Sri Vinaya Patrika –‘Sri Ramanama’ to remove the grief of Samsara

Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Dheenabandhu, Oh! Prabho, if you refuse to give shelter to me, then there is no one to give protection to me, everyone wants to achieve fruitfulness in their lives, but no one promising and kind as Lord Sri Ramachandra who is the Lord of distressed Jeeva. Oh! Ram, you are the protector of Jeeva who has taken shelter at your lotus feet, you have never looked upon their sins and showered all the auspiciousness. Oh! Kripanidhan, you have provided shelter to the Samsari Jeeva/Jeeva drenched in worldly matters and bodily pleasures, you have altered the glass pieces like the Sasmarijeeva into precious yellow metal, Oh! Prabho, look at the Gauthama Pathni Devi Ahalya who was cursed to become a rock for her mischievousness got relieved from the curse with the dust particles of your feet, Pashu/Gajendhra, Pakshi/Jatayu, Vanara/Sugreevah, Rakshasa Vibheeshan have achieved Moksha/freed from the grief and sufferings of Samsara immediately after taking shelter at your lotus feet. Oh! Prabho, you have given protection to those Vishayijeeva who have taken shelter at your lotus feet, and changed them to Vishayimuktha Jeeva/freed from the impurities of Ahamkara, Mamakara, Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, Mathshcharya, interest in material matters, possession, richness, wealth, money, fame, attachment to wife, children, relatives, and companion, etc. Oh! Prabho, the forest Dhandakaranya got purified at the touch of your lotus feet, and all those dried plants, shrubs, and trees regained their freshness, loaded with flowers and fruits. Oh! Prabho, you are Pathithapavana, the protector of distressed and depraved Jeeva, whoever utter your sacred name ‘Ram’ would achieve all the auspiciousness, even if it was pronounced in anger. It would remove the grief and sufferings of Samsara, Ahamkara, Mamakara, and the impurities of the mind. Oh! Prabho, the Samsara is the ocean of unbearable sorrows, miseries, and sins, you are the protector of Jeeva from the grief of Sasmara and purifier of the soul. Oh! Prabho, you are an ocean of virtues, whoever recite your name ‘Ram’ with pure love and devotion would achieve auspiciousness, even the grave sinners too. Oh! Prabho, you are the only one who could remove the grief of Samsara, hence Tulsi has taken shelter at your lotus feet.”
