Chapter – 78 - Sur -Vinaya – Pathrika – All the material
matters/Prakrithi are short living natured, the soul is indestructible Purusha
Sri Surdas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Mortals,
surrender at the lotus feet of Sri Nandanandhan, Lord Sri Krishnachandra, he is
the Lord of the Universe and its living and non-living things, leave your
Ahamkara, Mamakara, ego, pride, jealousy, lust, desire, etc. and worship Lord
Sri Shyamsundhar, and be a sincere servant of that all-pervasive supreme Lord.
The actual wealth is the worship of Lord Sri Hari and sincere service to the
Lord. The material things, possession,
wealth, money, richness, houses, acres of land, fame, children, wife, companion, and relatives are not the permanent wealth, it has fleeting nature like the dream that disappears immediately after the person wakes up from the sleep. The
fruitfulness of the rarest birth achieved as human lies in the practice of
devotion at the lotus feet of Lord Sri Hari, listening to the glorious legends
of the Lord, worship of Lord Sri Hari, and singing in praise of his virtues,
meditation and contemplation upon supreme Lord, spending life in the
association of Santh, Mahathma, noble souls, engage in the selfless service to
the preceptor, etc. Oh! Jeeva, abandon your interest in worldly matters and chase
after material and physical pleasure, surrender your possession, wealth,
richness, children, wife, and money at the lotus feet of Lord Sri Shyamsundhar. Oh!
Ignorant, leave your attachment to worldly matters, surrender the wealth and possessions you believe that have achieved at
the lotus feet of Lord Sri Hari, those wealth and possession are not yours, the
truth is either it may leave you or you have to leave them behind.”
