Sri Surdas Maharaj – Sri Sur – Vinaya – Pathrika – Lord Sri Hari is the savior of the distressed and desolate soul/Pathitha Pavan

Chapter – 190-  Sur -Vinaya – Pathrika – Lord Sri Hari is the savior of the distressed and desolate soul/Pathitha Pavan

Sri Surdas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Prabho, Oh! Sri Hari, I am the King of sinners, no one would commit sins by words, mind, and action like me if so kindly bring them to my notice. Oh! Prabho, the hunter Guha, Pakshiraj Jatayu/king of birds, and Puthana who rushed to feed venomous milk to little Krishna, was sucked out Prana/vital air while squeezing out milk from her bosom, she wasn’t a grave sinner like Ajamila and Ganika, the twice-born/Bhramin who abandoned his aged parents and family, Vedic way of living for a prostitute in the forest, and the Ganika who brought a parrot from the devotee of Lord Sri Hari was taken good care of it, and by mere listening to the ‘Sri Ramana Chant’ from the parrot, the aged Ganika/prostitute achieved liberation from the worldly existence. Oh! Prabho, I am the gravest sinner of all, I could hear from the people highly speaking about my immoral deeds, so if the sinners are the King, and I am that emperor of sinners. Oh! Prabho, so far you have been known as ‘Pathitha Pavan’/savior of the distressed and desolate people, after listening to my cries and list of mountain-sized sins would you liberate me? Will you keep up your vows to this devotee and liberate me from the sufferings and grief of worldly existence? Could you protect your title ‘The savior of the distressed and desolate soul?”
