Maharishi Narada continued “ Sugreeva
described the prowess of Vali, after listening Rama promised to battle against
Vali. But Sugreeva suspected the skill
of Rama; in order to gain confidence on Rama, he showed a mountain like mortal
coil of demon Dhundhubi who was killed by Vali.
The colossal form of mortal coil of Dhundhubi was effortlessly heaved
with a smile to a distance of ten Yojana by Rama who is strong with mighty
stature. Rama split opened seven huge
Salavruksha along with the mountains and earth with a single arrow. Sugreeva was extremely happy at the valor of
Rama, he regained confidence in Rama, and they proceeded towards the cave in Kishkindha. Sugreeva who is the commander of monkey warrior
has the luster of precious yellow metal, he growled in a boisterous voice that
brought Vali out of the cave. Vali
pacified his wife Thara and battled against Sugreeva, in the meantime Raghava
shot an arrow against him and he died instantly. Later, Sri Rama performed the coronation
ceremony of Sugreeva and crowned him as
the King of Kishkindha. Sugreeva
conducted an assembly of monkey warriors and assigned them to various directions
in search of daughter of Janaka.”
