it has Anushtup as Chandhas, and Goddess Thulasi is presiding deity. The glorious hymns praising the splendor of
Goddess Sri Thulasi are recited to fulfil all the desires.
I shall prostrate before Goddess Sri
Thulasi/Sri Mahadevi who is decked in lotus flowers, I shall adorn Goddess Sri
Thulasi on my head, kindly protect us, she is the protector as well as provider
of fame, I shall envision Goddess sri Thulasi who has the eyes resembles to
lotus flower, she is closest companion of Goddess Sri Mahalakshmi, kindly
listen to me. Oh! Sugandha who is highly
frangrant/blue lily, kindly protect our sensory organ that detects odour, Oh!

represents attractive white water lily, kindly protect our upper part of

heart, Oh! Punyadha who is the provider of abundance of pieities, kindly
protect our middle portion of the body, Oh! Saubhagyadhayini who symbolizes

known as Thulasi Kavacham which is equivalent to nectar to the living beings
and safest haven to the distressed people, it is capable to provide liberation

knowledge to the people who desires for it, it provides wealth to poorer, it

that desired, it multiplies the devotion to Lord Hari, it eradicates the birth

physical features, students should recite sitting under the Palasha tree facing
