Sri Kumara Thrishathi/Shathrumjaya Thrishathi – Lyrics and meanings

Sri Kumara Thrishathi is highly propitious hymns was composed by Rishi Markandeya, it has Anushtup as chandhas, presiding deity is Kumara, Kumara as Beejam, Shakha as Shakthi, Vishakha as Keelakam, Nejamesha as Argalam, Karthikeya as sacred armor, Shanmukha for meditation.


|| Dhyanam ||


I shall meditate upon Lord Shanmukha who has six attractive faces that has the luster of hundreds and thousands of moon, he is decked in various gem decorated ornaments that spreads intense luster, he is decked in magnificent crowns on his six heads that reveals the luster of sun in the early hours of dawn, he is adorned in Keyoora/armlets, and Hara/garlands , he is adorned in marvelous earrings that keeps dangling on the neck and spreads intense luster on the neck areas, he is decked in Kankana/bangles and waist belts of precious yellow metal, he is the essence of beauty.


I shall meditate upon Lord Guha who is the son of Lord or Lords, he has great effulgence, he has twelve eyes, he is Shanmukha who is decked in Gedam, Kukkudam/rooster, Angusham, Varadham, Pasham, Dhanus, Chakram, Vajram, Shakthi, Shoolam etc.. He is divine personified mounted on his celestial vehicle peacock and he is supremely gorgeous.


He is Arindhama/victorious, he is Kumara/youthful, he is Guha and Skandha as well, he is extremely powerful, he is beloved of Rudra, he has powerful arms, he is Maheshvara/supreme Lord who initiated from Agni, he is Rudrasutha/son of Lord Rudra, he is the commander of Ganas/Ganadhyaksha, he has mighty arms/Ugrabhahu, he dwells in caves and hills, he is born in reeds/Sharaja, he is valorous/Veera and fierce/Ugra, his eyes are crimson colored/Lohithaksha, he has beautiful eyes too, he is mounted on celestial vehicle peacock, he is supreme Lord, he is the destroyer of enemies, he overpowered his enemies, he is beloved of Shashti/particular Thithi, he is the son of Goddess Uma, he is Karthikeya who is nurtured by celestial Karthika, he is formidable, he is wielded in powerful spear/shakthi, he is great archer/Maheshvasa, he has mighty army of warriors/Mahasena, he is perpetual, he is Subramanya and Vishakha as well, he is absolute Bhramam, he is beloved of Bhramin who follows Bhraminic rites, he is extremely valorous, he is Nejamesha and Shakha as well, he has subtle form, he is fond of battles, he steals the heart of worshiper, he is supreme preceptor, he is primordial and has beautiful appearance, he symbolizes  sacred Pranava ‘Om”, he is the consort of Goddess Devasena, he is clever and he has great effulgence, he is personified as beautiful child, he is originated from supreme Bhramam, he has colossal/terrific form, he is extremely valorous, he is Sriman who symbolizes wealth, he undertakes strict disciplines, he is pure, he is swift as well as permanent, he travels on celestial vehicle peacock, he is extremely powerful, he has stuning physique, he has powerful arms, and he is strong, he is mighty warrior, he is honorable and wise, he eradicates all kinds of illnesses of worshiper, he is attired in crimson colored garment, he is great illusionist/Mahamaya, he has numerous incarnations, he is the Lord of Ganas, he carries bow and arrows, he is great archer, he crushed the pride of Mount Krauncha, he has colossal form, he is extremely powerful with great radiance, he is extremely fiercesome,  he is wrathful, he has pleasing disposition too, he is originated from Rudra, he symbolizes auspiciousness and piousness, he is highly enthusiastic, he represents artforms, he is beloved of Nandikesha, he is divine personified as the commander of worlds, he is charming, he is scholarly, he is the destroyer of enemies, he is devoid of sorrows/Vishoka, he is wielded in powerful weapons of Vajra, he is the provider of wealth to worshiper, he has stunning form, he has subtle form, he has pleasant sound, he is the provider of happiness and welfare to his worshiper, he is closest associate of his worshiper, he is originated from Vahni/Agni, he has golden childhood pranks, he carries the flag that has the symbol of rooster,  he is beloved of Svaha/fire sacrifices, he is the chief among Graha/planets, he is worshiped by evilspirit and Ganas, he is prominent among deities, he is excellent, he is valorous and he crushed the pride of Mahisha, he carries majestic flag, he is extremely valorous, he is lion among the deities, he undertakes severe attainable to the wicked, he has supreme radiance, he is mounted on elephant, he is supreme ascetic, he has great fame, he is unblemished, he is eloquent, he is most venerable, he has supreme luster, he symbolizes Vashatkara, he is Medhavi/wise, he is Mekhali/Bhramacharin, he has attractive face, he is the leader of army of deities, he is restrained, he represent auspiciousness and contentment, he is formost among the deities, he undertakes strict austerities and penances, he is pure, he is the provider of nourishment, he represents fulfillment/satisfaction, reward, he has golden color complexion, he aguments welfare and happiness of his worshiper, he is charming, he has great effulgence, he intended the death of Mahisha, he is Shanmukha who has six faces,  he is the son of Lord Hara, he symbolizes sacred hymns, he is the provider of wealth, he is most excellent/Varishta, he is Varadha/provider of abundance of boons, he is the essence of Veda who is deserved to be venerated, he has attractive limbs, he represents fire, moon, sun, luster etc.. he is wise, he is conqueror of world, he is the protector of world, he is the provider of fruit of Karma, he is the provider of knowledge and wisdom, he is decked in various flower garlands and pearl decorated ornaments, he is eulogized by illustrious Rishis and Sages, he has beautiful wide eyes, he is the son of sacred Ganga, he is extremely valorous, he is beloved of Lord Indhra, he has attractive hair locks, he is eulogized by sacred hymns, he is beyond human intellect, he has powerful arms, he is divine personified, he is extremely valorous in battle fields, he is wielded in powerful armaments and Gadga, he is the Lord in battle field with quick remedy, he is adorned in white umbrella, he is primordial, he is the destroyer of Dhanavas, he is alarming to enemies, he explores through the sky, he is perceivable for the virtuous, he is the provider of Siddhis, he has pleasing disposition, he is omniscient, he is absolute Bhramam/supreme spirit, he carries powerful sword, he is modest, he is valorous facing in all directions, he carries powerful Danda, he has attractive physical features and he has golden color complexion, he was brought up by six mothers of Karthika, he is triumphant, he is the provider of victory to worshiper, he is beloved of his ardent worshiper, he has fierce form, he has won over the  Dhaithya, he is the provider of success to worshiper, he is the protector of infants and eradicates the illnesses of infants, he is the commander of Ganas, he is victorious, he has won over the senses, he is triumphant, he is the protector of Universe, he is the Lord of the Universe, he is proficient in chariot fight, he represents serenity and auspiciousness, he is triumphant, he is the He represents nectar, moon, class of Pithrus, wind, water, air, ether, sky, heaven etc.. he is triumphant in battle field, he is Maruththama who has equivalent swiftness of Maruthganas, he has supreme radiance of Bhanu/Surya, he has mighty army of warriors, he is munificent, he is most beautiful Devasenani/mighty warrior of deities, he is the destroyer of demon Tharakasura, he is storehouse of virtues, he remains secluded from his mother, he has boisterous voice, he symbolizes prosperity, he is merciful, he is triumphant, he has great enthusiasam, splendor, glory, power etc.. he is wielded in bow and arrow, he augment prosperity, he fulfils all the desires of the worshiper, he is originated from reed, he is industrious and  performs tasks spontaneously, he is honorable, he is the protector, he is wielded in powerful bow, he resides in the close association of his mother in the chakra, he represents Shadashri and Shadarashta, he has twelve  attractive eyes /Dhvadhashaksha and and twelve powerful arms/ Dhvishadbhuja, he represents Shadakshara/ collection of six verses, he represents Sanathkumara and Lord Shiva/sandhyojatha, he is supreme ascetic, he has the complexion of blood red, he is compassionate, he is the provider of happiness to his worshiper, he is worshiped by Mathrukagana, he is the commander of Bhoothaganas, he is initiated from terminology, he is instigated from Rudra, he is originated from Universe and Bhramam, he is initiated from prosperity and Universe, he symbolizes sacred hymns, he is Mahamanu/highly intellectual, sacred text, he is beloved of Vasudeva, he is the protector of sanctum/our body is considered as shrine and he is the protector of the same, he has supreme radiance, he is supreme Lord who has won over enemies.
