personified as Arya/noble, Karthyayani who is the daughter of Sage Kathyayana,
Kaushiki, Bhramacharin who follows chastity, Janani who is the mother of
Universe and its living beings, Siddhasenasya who has possessed excellent army,
Durga, Veera who is extremely valorous, Mahathapa who follow extreme penances, she
is Vijaya as well Vijaya, Pushti/nourishment, Kshama/endurance, Dhaya/kindness,
Jyeshta/supremacy, Yamasyabagini/sister of Yama, she is adorned in blue silk
garments, she has numerous forms, she has unique form too, she has endless
forms, she is Viroopakshi/unique eyes , Vishalakshi who has wide beautiful eyes
too, she is the protector of her passionate devotees, she resides on the
highest peaks of Mountains, she has dreadful appearance, she resides in the sacred river and caves,
she is Mahadevi who resides in the dense wood and vital air as well, she
represents clan of mountaineers, she is worshiped by tribal, wicked and
barbarians as well, she is Sarvasha who holds majestic flag that has the symbol
of peacock and explores the entire Universe, she explores the Universe holding
a whips of lighted straw and rides on lion or tiger, she is Vindhyavasini who
resides on the highest peak of Vindhya, she is accompanied by the sounds of
divine instruments and Gandanadham/sounds of bell, she is wielded in Thrishoola
and Pattisa, she has a great army led by Surya and Chandhra, she is fond of
auspicious days of Navami, Krishnapaksha
and Shuklapaksha Ekadashi, she is the younger sister of Lord Vasudeva, she has
dark complexion, she test the faith of devotees by initiating quarrels, she
resides as soul in living beings, she represents strict discipline, she is the
provider of highest of pieties known as liberation from repeated births, she is
personified as daughter of Nandagopa, she is the cause for the victories of
deities, she is attired in bark of trees and she is attired in majestic garment
as well, she is Raudhri, she represents Sandhya/confluence of day and night,
she has disheveled hair, she represents death and she takes immense pleasure in

personified as Savithri, mother of deities/Adithi, she is the mother of Bhoothaganas,
she represents Veda and Yajja, proceedings of Yajja and alms provided to the
priest as well, she symbolizes Siddhis, Sandhya, tide in the ocean, she
represents prominent Yakshi among the clan of Yaksha, Surasa among the clan of
serpents, Bhramachrin among the young maidens, she represents Saubhagya among the
Prmadhagana, she is Bhramavadhin, Dheeksha, Shobha and Parama as well, she
represents Devi Prabha in Jyothishashasthra, Rohini among the stars, she is
reverentially remembered in the doorways of palace, sacred rivers and Prayaga,
she represents full moon, she is attired in the skin of animals, supreme Goddess
rememberd as Sarawathi to Valmiki, Smrithi
to Dhvaipayana, Suradevi to all the deities, she should be venerated according to
their Karma and Swadharma, she represents thousands of beautiful eyes of Lord
Indhra, she dwells as righteousness and supreme intellect of Rishis, she is
mother of deities/Adithi, she is remembered as Seetha among the agriculturists,
Dharini among the humans, she is Devi to the righteous who undertake severe
penances, she represents bridle among the Agnihothris, she represents
Kshudha/hunger in living soul, she
repesents deity of the day, she is Vasumathi of Vasu, she represents Swaha, Thushti, Dhrithi, and Medha, she represents desires among the
human, she represents Thushti to one who has accomplished the task, she
represents Dhisha/region, Vidhisha/intermediate quarter of region, tip of Agni
and Prabha as well, she represents Shakuni/evil,
Poothana, Revathi,Sudharuna who has dreadful appearances, she represents
Nidhra/sleep in living beings, Mohini among the Kshthriyas, she represents
Bhramavidhya among the Vidhya, she represents Omkaram and Vashat as well, she
is Parvathi among the virtuous woman, she represents glorious myths among the
wise, she represents chaste wife Arundhathi of Sage Vashishta, she represents
sacred verses originated from Lord Bhrama, she represents differences among the
debaters, she represents sense organs as well, she represents substitutes,
Indhrani, Chethi/attentiveness, Oh! Devi, you are all pervading in the whole
Universe, and you are omnipresent in all the living and non-living things, you are
capable to eradicates the fears of war, conflicts, colossal fire as well, fears
while passing through the river banks, dense woods, foreign lands, palace, and
threat from enemies, it is definite that she is the protective force from all
the evils, Oh! Devi, kindly reside in my heart, mind and intellect always, Oh!
Devi, kindly protects us from all the sins and blesses us. Above are the glorious verse praising the
splendor of Devi is highly promising comprises in Ithihasa, whoever reads or
listen to it for three months or six months, or venerate supreme Goddess for
nine months during the hours of dawn and follow austerities and intense
devotion would attain various siddhis, whoever reads or listen to it for an
year would attain siddhi and get all their desires fulfilled, it is absolute
truth, narrated by Bhramacharin Dhvaipayana.”
