Vamadeva speaks “ I shall prostrate before Lord Skandha who symbolizes Pranavamanthra, he
is the essence of Pranava, he imparts the knowledge of the meaning of sacred
Pranava, he represents Beejam of Pranava, he is Pranava, I shall prostrate before
supreme Lord Skandha who is the essence of meanings of Vedantha, he imparts the
knowledge of the meaning Vedantha, he symbolizes meaning of Vedantha, he is
eternal, he is supreme preceptor, I shall prostrate before supreme Lord Skandha
who is highly confidential, he is beyond human intellect, he resides in the
caves, he is not perceivable through senses, he is the essence of highly
confidential Agamashasthra, I shall prostrate before supreme Lord Skandha who is all pervading, he is omnipresent, he
spreads happiness on Earth, he is Paramathma who is omniscient, I shall
prostrate before supreme Lord Skandha
who is supreme soul, he has the brilliance of Lord Surya, I shall prostrate
before Lord Skandha who is adorned in garlands of flowers of Mandhara and
magnificent crown, I shall prostrate before supreme Lord Skandha who is the son as well as disciple of Lord
Shiva, he imparted the meaning of
Pranava to his father, he is the provider of auspiciousness, he is beloved of
Lord Shiva, he is the delight of Lord Shiva, I shall prostrate before supreme
Lord Skandha who is Gangeya/son of sacred Ganga, he is Karthikeya who was
brought up by six maidens of Krithika, he is Umaputhra who is the son of
Goddess Uma, he was born in the reeds, I shall repeatedly prostrate before
supreme Lord Skandha who symbolizes Shadakshara, his body represents
Shadakshara/six sacred syllables, he provides six kinds of auspiciousness to
worshiper, he is beyond the six syllable, he is Shanmukha who has six faces, I
shall prostrate before supreme Lord Skandha who has twelve eyes, he has
powerful twelve arms, he is wielded in twelve powerful weapons in each hands,
he is Dhvadhashathma, I shall prostrate before supreme Lord Skandha who has
four arms, he is serene, he is wielded in Shakthi/powerful spear and
Kukkuda/rooster, his one hand in Varadha hastha posture, he crushes the pride
of demons, I shall prostrate before supreme Lord Skandha whose chest is smeared
in the vermilion from the bosom of his consort Gajavalli, I shall prostrate
before supreme Lord Skandha who is the source of happiness of Gajanana/Lord
Ganesha and great Nandhikeshvara, I
shall prostrate before supreme Lord Skandha who is eulogised by Lord Bhrama and all the deities,
Kinnara, Sages and Rishis, he has endless glorious myths are eulogized by his
passionate and righteous worshiper, I shall always prostrate before the lotus feet of supreme Lord Skandha who is
adorned in magnificent crown and various precious ornaments.

The
above are the glorious verses of Skandhasthavam was composed by Lord Vamadeva,
whoever reads or listens to it would
attain highest of pieities, it provides intense faith and devotion at the lotus
feet of Lord Shiva, it provides Ayur/long life, Arogyam/good health,
Dhanam/wealth, and it fulfil all the desires of the worshiper.
