Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “Oh! My beloved
Lord Sri Ramachandra, Oh! Koshaladheesha, you have beautiful eyes that resemble
freshly bloomed red lotus flower petals. Your attractive limbs have the luster
of rain clouds, you take great pleasure in the company of Devi Sita, whose
loveliness excels the beauty of crores of Manmatha. Oh! Prabho, you have strong
arms, hands stretched up to the knee, you are wielded in bow and arrow. Oh!
Bhagavan, you do not require Yaga, Yoga, Tapasya, fire sacrifices to please you, the mere recitation of your names with intense love and devotion would satisfy you,
and you get highly pleased with the constant remembrance of you and shower an abundance of piousness to your devotees. Oh! Prabho, You are the source of
happiness and welfare, you destroy the sufferings of worldly existence, you are the dearest companion of the distressed people, the devotion at your lotus feet
would remove the impurities of Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, and
Mathshcharya in your devotees, it removes the darkness of ignorance and
interest in worldly matters and bondage, you are the ocean of virtues, Oh!
Prabho, you are all-pervasive supreme Bhramam, represents time, zone, region
etc. you are flawless, you are Lord of the Universe, and you are Lord of Lords.
Oh! Prabho, you are that supreme Bhramam
resides as a soul in the Jeeva, causes the functioning of the mind, intellect,
Chithth, Ahamkara, Prana, Karma, and Gnanendhriya, you are the knower of all,
Oh! Bhagavan, I have heard of your generosity and nobleness all my life, hence why
should I leave the compassionate Lord Sri Ramachandra and engage in the worship
of other deities to fulfill my desires? Oh! Tulsidas, you ought to worship Lord
Sri Ramachandra who is worshiped by the Lord of Lords Sri Mahadev.”
Sri Tulsidas Maharaj continues “ Oh! Mind,
worship the Lord of Lords Sri Ramachandra, who is extremely valorous, and the
worship of Lord Rama would fulfill all your desires, and liberate you from the
sufferings of worldly existence. Oh! Mind, do not make any delay in
surrendering at the lotus feet of Lord Sri Ramachandra, you have already wasted a good part of your life, there is not much time left in your hands. Oh! Mind,
surrender at the lotus feet of the Preceptor, and sincerely follow his advice,
serve him relentlessly, adopt austerities, Shamadhamadhi, Swadhyaya,
Athmavichara, achieve Manthropadhesha/Ramnama and constantly engage in the practice of the same, which is the superior cure that could provide the serenity of
mind, get rid of grief, agony, the pain of separation, trepidation of death and
redundant thoughts as well. The Ramanama is the Mahamanthra which is constantly
recites by the Lord of the Lords Sri Mahadev in the Anandhavan, and whisper in
the ears of the Jeeva who leave mortal coil on this sacred land. Oh! Mind,
practice the Ramanama Manthra Japa, and perform Tharpan by Premaroopi water, pour
the pure love like ghee in the fire sacrifice, and offer the Sandheharoopi
Samith in the Kshamaroopi sacrificial fire,
in other words, sacrifice the interest in worldly matters, bondage, attachment
to wealth, richness, money, fame, possession, wife, children, relatives,
companions etc., Ahamkara and Mamakara/body and I consciousness, the impurities
of Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, and Mathshcharya on the Kshamaroopi Agni.
Oh! Mind, perform the Ucchadan of Papa, and Vasheekarana of pure Mind, do the
Marana of Ahamkara and Mamakara, and ultimately obtain the Akarshana of
Santhosha, Gnana, Vairagya, Bhakti, which is the permanent Sukhasampathi to
the Jeeva. Whoever practices the recitation of the Ramanama with pure love and
devotion, and abandons the Ahamkara, Mamakara, impurities of mind in the fire
like Ramanama, they would achieve the nearness of Lord Sri Raghunatha. Oh!
Tulsidas, you should follow these above-mentioned methods to achieve the
Paramagathi.”
